Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

author:Shi Xiaosheng

General Chen Geng Chen has always been known for his humor, and there are many interesting stories about him in the army, once during the Anti-Japanese War, he drank Chairman Mao's tea in one gulp in front of everyone, and said afterwards: "If you are thirsty, borrow the chairman's water to moisten your throat", which made Chairman Mao and the people present laugh.

But he is such a cheerful and funny person, but when he watched a drama performance in 1941, he couldn't help crying on the spot.

The reason for the incident has to start from 1939.

Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

One

In February 1939, Chen Geng led the 386th Brigade in Xiangchenggu, Qiu County, southern Hebei, and successfully ambushed a reinforced squadron under the command of the 40th Wing of the 10th Division of the Japanese Army.

After the war, Chen Geng's headquarters took a short rest and began to return to the Taihang base on March 7 of that year, and the next day, that is, on March 8, Chen Geng, who was advancing westward on the Pinghan Line, received a shocking news.

His wife, Comrade Wang Genying, died heroically.

Wang Genying and Chen Geng met in 1923 at the Shanghai Workers' Night School, when one of the two was a student, the other was an instructor, as a student Wang Genying, beautiful and generous, free and easy, and as an instructor Chen Geng was knowledgeable and dignified, and in the long time together, the two young hearts began to have a good impression of each other and slowly approached.

It's just that Wang Genying at that time was focused on his work, and although he had a good impression of Chen Geng, he didn't really think about personal emotional issues.

After that, Chen Geng was sent to Guangzhou, and Wang Genying stayed in Shanghai, and this parting was four years.

Until 1927, the Fifth National Congress was held in Wuhan, and Chen Geng and Wang Genying were among the delegates attending the meeting, so the two were able to meet again in Wuhan.

At this time, Wang Genying had already faded from the youthful student appearance of a few years ago, but grew into a capable woman, in the past few years, she had participated in the armed uprising of Shanghai workers under the leadership of Zhou Enlai, and became the backbone of the Shanghai workers' movement.

And Chen Geng is no longer the gentle and elegant teacher he was at the beginning, and several years of military life have made him full of perseverance.

When the two reunited, Chen Geng's heart beat violently, and he realized that the woman in front of him was the ideal partner he was looking for, so this time, he must tell her what he wanted.

In our modern parlance, General Chen is about to make a confession, but how should he do it? After thinking about it at that time, General Chen made a rather surprising "feat."

During the conference, Chen Geng, who was "inattentive" to the lecture, wrote several small notes to Wang Genying, the content of which was very straightforward, either "Wang Genying, I love you", or "I swear to marry you" and so on.

I have to say that General Chen is really General Chen, and this straightforwardness is admirable even today.

But on Wang Genying's side, although she did have a good impression of Chen Geng, the women at that time were more reserved, and during the conference, Chen Geng frequently passed small notes, which caused Wang Genying to blush and have a little disgust.

However, what is surprising is that these notes were actually pasted on the wall of the conference room, and now, everyone in the venue knew that Chen Geng was confessing to Wang Genying, and Chen Geng himself was nothing about it, but Wang Genying blushed.

Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

After Zhou Enlai learned of this, he seriously criticized Chen Geng, saying that he didn't know the art of love, let alone the strategy of courtship.

Criticism is criticism, Zhou Enlai is still willing to help a group of old comrades-in-arms, afterwards, he pulled Deng Yingchao and began to match Chen Geng to protect the media, and with the efforts of Sister Deng, Wang Genying finally let go of his reserve and agreed to Chen Geng's courtship.

In this way, the two finally came together, and after the end of the "Big Five", they officially became husband and wife.

At the beginning of the marriage, it was naturally very sweet, but this sweetness did not last too long, soon, Chen Geng went to Jiangxi, and Wang Genying returned to Shanghai, and in the following days, the husband and wife also got together more and left less, during which Chen Geng also experienced many dangers, and Wang Genying was also imprisoned for four years for being a traitor, it can be said that the couple has experienced too many tribulations.

But despite the hardships, it did not affect the relationship between the two at all, but made their love for each other more and more firm, and finally, in August 1937, the two had the opportunity to get together in Yan'an.

As the so-called little biesheng newlywed, Chen Geng was also excited that day, and he wrote in his diary:

"Yesterday, Genying went from Xi'an to the General Political Department of Yunyang, and Comrade Xiaoping added vegetables to celebrate us, and opened another room for us to talk all night.

It was night when they told each other about their divorce, until late at night, without fatigue, and their happiness was better than that of the wedding night in Wuhan in 1927 (the twenty-seventh year of the Republic of China).

Wang Genying was imprisoned for four years, and under the coercion and temptation of the enemy, she always adhered to the position of a Communist Party member and did not waver, which made me admire her even more. ”

But as the old saying goes, the time to get together is always short, especially in the war-torn years at that time, the husband and wife, as revolutionaries, faced separation again after a short reunion.

But what neither of the two expected at that time was that this separation would become a farewell.

In the autumn of 1938, Wang Genying was organizationally approved to go to work at the Financial and Economic Cadre School of the Supply Department of the 129th Division and serve as the political instructor of the school.

Later, in March 1939, the supply department of the 129th Division was suddenly surrounded by the Japanese army after being transferred to a new garrison.

Although the breakthrough process was experienced, fortunately, she finally managed to break through, and soon after she came out, Wang Genying found that she forgot to take a satchel full of important documents and public funds, and then, regardless of the danger, she resolutely rushed back.

But when she got the satchel and was about to rush out, she was discovered by the Japanese army, and with a gunshot, Wang Genying fell in a pool of blood.

When everyone organized the troops to rush back to rescue them, they found that Wang Genying had already died heroically, and the blood that flowed out also stained the ground under him.

That is, on the day of Wang Genying's death, Chen Geng learned the news, and he was so grief-stricken that he wrote in his diary, "March 8 is a day that I cannot forget, and it is also my most tragic day. ””

Two

After that, Chen Geng became silent for a long time, and he also stopped the habit of writing a diary during that time, but devoted himself to the battle, and used every battle record to comfort his wife Wang Genying.

In the Battle of Baijin, Chen Geng took the lead and killed and wounded more than 300 Japanese soldiers; in the Battle of Yuliao, the frenzied enemy released poisonous gas, and Chen Geng was poisoned several times but still did not get out of the line of fire, and finally achieved the result of completely annihilating the enemy army.

At that time, Chen Geng took the 386 Brigade and relied on his tenacious fighting style to make a reputation, which caused the Japanese army to grit their teeth against the 386 Brigade, and deliberately put a slogan on the armored vehicle "Specializing in the 386 Brigade".

But behind the tenacious battle, there is endless pain for Chen Geng, and his comrades-in-arms naturally see it in their eyes and feel pain in their hearts, and they all say that they can't let Chen Geng continue like this.

After discussion, everyone decided to be a "matchmaker" for Chen Geng.

coincided with the performance of the Kang Da Art Troupe in the army at that time, so several cadres of the 386 Brigade threaded the needle and found an opportunity to let Chen Geng meet the three girls of the Art Troupe.

And among these three girls, one of them made Chen Geng very impressed.

This girl is Fu Ya, when she was 20 years old, she came to Yan'an from her hometown to participate in the revolution, she naturally knew about the famous 386 Brigade Commander Chen Geng, but at least at that time, she did not expect that she would really marry Chen Geng later.

As for the reason, Chen Geng's reputation was not small at that time, he was the brigade commander of the main brigade of the Eighth Route Army, and he had a brilliant record, and Fu Ya felt that he was just a little girl in the art troupe, how could he get together with the famous Brigade Commander Chen?

But Chen Geng used his own unique way to make Fu Ya feel a different feeling, especially when Chen Geng talked openly and honestly about his and his wife Wang Genying's like-minded past, and when it came to emotion, he even felt that for a long time, only by fighting desperately could he temporarily relieve the pain of losing his beloved wife.

Fu Ya was very moved by this true feeling, and she recalled many years later, "I decided to marry Chen Geng, not because he was a general, but because of his legendary experience, and his deep and sincere love for Comrade Wang Genying moved me."

And just when the two were relaxed and ready to come together, an unexpected news disrupted their plans.

At that time, the organization notified Chen Geng that he was not allowed to establish a romantic relationship with Fu Ya, as for the reason, it was because Fu Ya's brother had worked in the Kuomintang, so it was considered whether Fu Ya would have any other purpose in choosing Chen Geng.

Therefore, the organizational meaning is that an investigation is needed, and this notice made the two fall into pain, after all, they have already confided their hearts, and they are always looking forward to being together as soon as possible.

And in 1941, when Fu Ya came to the 129th Division with the Art Troupe to perform, Chen Geng, who was sitting in the audience, saw Fu Ya, his longing was overflowing, and he couldn't help but burst into tears when he was emotionally stirred, and Fu Ya also had red eyes on stage.

As Chen Geng's old comrade-in-arms, he was very clear about why Chen Geng was crying, so after the performance, he found Cai Shufan, director of the Political Department of the 129th Division.

The two walked and chatted in the open space behind the stage, and Deng Gong said, "Send a telegram to the Central Committee, anyway, Comrade Fu Ya is an excellent Communist Party member, so please give instructions to fulfill her and Chen Geng and approve their marriage."

Later, under the efforts of Deng Gong and others, the two lovers finally became dependents.

Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

In February 1943, Fu Ya and Chen Geng officially became partners, and since then, Chen Geng has become the spiritual pillar of Fu Ya's life, although the two still get together less and leave more, but Fu Ya has never felt lonely, she will take Chen Geng's diary with her, whenever her thoughts arise, she will open the diary, look at the familiar handwriting, and Chen Geng's shadow seems to appear in front of her.

In this way, Fu Ya has accompanied Chen Geng for decades, whether it was during the Liberation War or after the founding of New China, she has always been Chen Geng's strong backing.

She silently took care of everything in the rear for Chen Geng, and did all the responsibilities of a wife, whether it was during Chen Geng's resistance to France and aid Vietnam, or went to the Korean battlefield, or was busy with the construction preparations for the "Kazakhstan military industry", Fu Ya never complained, but did his best to take care of all the affairs of the family and share worries for Chen Geng.

If a wife is like this, what more can a husband ask for?

Three

But this is not the greatest thing about Fu Ya, her greatest thing is her mind as broad as the sea.

Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

After Fu Ya and Chen Geng became husband and wife, Fu Ya has always taken good care of Wang Genying and Chen Geng's child Chen Zhifei, and even Wang Genying's family.

Among them, Fu Ya not only treats Chen Zhifei as his own and cares for him, but also regards Wang Genying's sister Wang Xuanmei as a sister, and tries his best to take care of him in all aspects of life and work.

Even after Chen Geng's death, this is still the case.

What's even more precious is that Wang Genying's mother will receive living expenses from Fu Ya every month until the old man dies.

After Chen Geng's death, Fu Ya went to collect information in many ways and personally wrote an article for Wang Genying called "Serving the Country, What is the Daughter's Body".

And when Fu Ya was dying, she made another touching decision.

She explained to her children and sent her ashes back to her hometown, while her husband Chen Geng's side, she hoped to transport Wang Genying's remains over so that the two could be reunited.

This decision alone is enough to make people admire.

And the children couldn't bear it, so in the end, the ashes (bones) of General Chen Geng and the two wives were buried together in Quanhu Village, Longdong Town, Xiangxiang City, Hunan.

Chen Geng couldn't stop crying when he watched the drama, and Deng Gong next to him quietly told Cai Shufan: Let's fulfill the two of them

Now in Quanhu Village, the continuous green hills guard the three of them, and the lush trees seem to tell people the legend of General Chen Geng and the story between him and the two ladies.

As the so-called selfless heart and wide world, as the wife of the general, Ms. Fu Ya's broad-mindedness is in response to the phrase "great love without borders", which is worthy of the admiration of our descendants!
