The book "Wuhu Historical and Cultural Celebrity - Zhang Jiugao, the Forerunner of the Newspaper Industry" was recently published. This is an important result of the series of Wuhu History and Culture Series compiled by the Research Office of Party History and Local History of the Municipal Party Committee. The publication of this book is of landmark significance. This is one of the series of books planned to be compiled by the Party History Office of the Wuhu Municipal Party Committee and the Local History Research Office, which is not only an important carrier of Wuhu cultural construction, but also a project of cultural construction.
The book is divided into two parts: the first part and the lower part. The first part is the biography of Mr. Zhang Jiugao, and the second part is the manuscript of Mr. Zhang Jiugao, some of which have not been published, and after being sorted out by his eldest grandson Zhang Xiaoxiang, it was first published in this book.
As a pioneer of Wuhu local journalism and a celebrity of Wuhu local history and culture, Mr. Zhang Jiugao has played a very important role in the historical stage, and the historical traces he has left behind, the feelings of home and country, the excavation and sorting of the heritage culture of Wuhu local history, and the tireless spirit of exploration of the history of ancient philosophy and thought have left a heavy mark for Wuhu local culture, which is worth commemorating and learning for our descendants.
