The 2022 International Young Leaders Financial Summit, which was attended by more than 120 players from 24 top universities around the world, has just come to an end in Shanghai.
The participating teams composed of Fudan University players won the first prize, and the four representative teams of Tsinghua University, London School of Economics and Political Science, University College London, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Peking University won the second prize of the whole team.
Hosted by the Master of Finance Program of Shanghai Advanced School of Finance, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, with the theme of "Exploring ESG Diversified Solutions to Empower a Better Future", the summit focused on the understanding and practice of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) to collide views and ideas.
More than 1,000 students from universities around the world signed up, and finally more than 120 players from 24 top universities around the world, such as Tsinghua University, Peking University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Fudan University, Cornell University, London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Toronto, and National University of Singapore, participated through the "cloud".
In the competition, each participating team independently selected a case company as the practice scenario of the ESG solution, deeply investigated the company's business logic and the ESG practice status of the industry, used their professional knowledge and creativity to design the ESG solution for the company, and elaborated the design logic and highlights of the plan to the judges, and conducted a comprehensive analysis of the feasibility of the plan.
The 23 case companies selected by the participating teams combined their professional strengths and interests were distributed in a diversified market environment at home and abroad, covering different fields such as materials, new energy, consumption, and automobiles.
Fudan University, which won the first prize, won the high score of the judges for its comprehensive analysis and wonderful plan of its target company, Ningde Era. In addition to receiving generous tournament prize money, they will also be eligible for the Mini Camp of the Master of Finance Program.
The Young International Leaders Financial Summit has been held for 10 years since its inception in 2013. Every year, the summit focuses on the hottest economic and financial issues at present, attracts outstanding students from universities around the world through the combination of theory and practice and rich and vivid case competitions, and invites top experts from academia and industry to serve as keynote speakers and judges of the competition.
