On January 20th, the "Performing Arts Taihu 2022" cultural performance was held in the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop in Tongzhou District, which is another new commercial performance space in Taihu after the Taihu Dance Art Center of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. During the Spring Festival, the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop will launch a variety of artistic performances such as Kunqu opera, children's drama and drama to enrich the cultural life of the citizens, and the ticket price for the benefit of the people ranges from 15 to 20 yuan.
At the beginning of January this year, the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop Qinglitang Teahouse Theater passed the strict joint acceptance review of the six departments and obtained the "Record Certificate of the Performance Venue Business Unit", which is the first commercial performance venue in Taihu Town to pass the review of the Tongzhou District Cultural and Tourism Bureau after the promulgation of the "Opinions on the Approval and Implementation of Commercial Performance Venues in Taihu Performing Arts Town, Tongzhou District".
Entering from the north gate of Yuhui Park, Taihu Performing Arts Town, through the ice and snow-covered water system and winding roads, the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop is located in the middle of the park. The entire building has been transformed from a former factory building, and its quaint appearance is full of fashionable design. The interior decoration is even more antique, with red and gray brick walls everywhere, which are divided into performance stages, celebration halls, performance theaters, rehearsal halls, cafes, fish road restaurants, art studios and other functional areas, which can meet the needs of performing arts groups and cultural activities.
The most distinctive feature is the Qingli Hall on the 3rd floor, which is the first theater in Beijing to successfully introduce Beijing opera immersion resident performances. In the space of more than 500 square meters, the lights are colorful and the ancient rhyme is melodious, and several wooden tables and chairs are arranged in the middle of the lobby, which is usually a rest area for tourists, and it has become a theater stage during the performance. For example, when the opera "Tea House" is performed, the actors sit next to the audience to perform interactions, and tourists can not only feel the charm of the opera at zero distance, but also wear costumes to truly integrate into the performance.
It is worth mentioning that the performing arts workshop with a quite artistic atmosphere is transformed from the past fish farming workshop. "The performing arts workshop covers an area of about 30 acres and has a construction area of 29,000 square meters. In 2019, according to the positioning of Taihu Performing Arts Town's 'Ecological Town, Performing Arts Taihu', the park transformed the original fish breeding factory, and used its own resource advantages to combine ecology and performing arts to create a Taihu Performing Arts Workshop. Zhu Mei, head of operation of the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop, introduced that in 2022, the resident performances of the small theater are planned to arrange 10 times a week, and there will be different forms of large-scale online live broadcast activities at festivals such as the Dragon Boat Festival and New Year's Day, and the Beijing Quyi Troupe plans to perform "Beijing Memory" 20 to 30 times a month.
In addition to the Beijing Qu Opera Troupe, Beijing Qu Art Troupe, and Daguo Notes, which have been stationed in the Taihu Performing Arts Workshop, Cao Weidong, a skill inheritor who has been engaged in pipa production for 36 years, has also settled in the Pipa Art Museum, which integrates pipa art performances, education and teaching, and literary and art exhibitions. Next to the performing arts workshop, there is also a crab and rice symbiosis art farm, which restores the history of rice cultivation and crab raising in Taihu Lake, and presents a beautiful agricultural picture of people, water, fields and crab symbiosis.
Gu Jian, secretary of the Party Committee of Taihu Town, introduced that 2022 is an important year for Taihu Performing Arts Town to enter the substantive construction, and the launch of commercial performances in taihu performing arts workshops is just the beginning. With the upgrading and transformation of Taihu Book City, the Book City project will be transformed into a Taihu Performing Arts Innovation center, forming a linkage with projects such as the Taihu Stage Art Center of the National Centre for the Performing Arts, actively undertaking the spillover effect of Universal Beijing Resort, and accelerating the gathering of performing arts industries and resources. Next, Taihu Town will continue to benchmark the construction standards of the city sub-center, adhere to the development positioning of "ecological Taihu Performing Arts Town", and strive to build the town into a new business card showing the cultural charm of the city sub-center and a demonstration benchmark for the town with Chinese characteristics.
