The nine theaters under the Beijing Performance Group will join hands to polish the cultural business card of "Big Drama to See Beijing" with the "Eighth May Performance Season". At a press conference held at the Beijing Children's Art Rehearsal Hall on April 21, Dong Ning, deputy general manager of Beijing Performing Arts Group, introduced in detail the ideas and highlights of the May performance season. From April 30 to June 19, lasting 51 days, 8 new Beijing flavors, 6 new classics, a total of 14 original dramas will be "new Beijing flavor, new classics" as the theme, to help "big drama to see Beijing", highlighting the style of the state-owned reform of the academy.
With 13 repertoire posters slowly descending from above the stage, it can be seen that this performance season will focus on the representative realistic theme works of Jingweier and classic stage art works under the Beijing Performance Group, under the theme of "New Jingweier New Classics", dramas, musicals, magic dramas, operas, dance dramas, operas, children's dramas, concerts and other art forms will take turns on stage, so that Jingweier stage and drama works will accompany the audience from late spring to early summer. At the same time, the public open day of the Beijing Performing Arts Group's theater group in this performance season will try the new model of online + offline linkage for the first time, so that the audience can walk into the theater troupe and theater, experience the classic and boutique charm of the group at close range, and present more stories behind the Beijing performing arts stage to everyone. The performance season will also combine the theme to launch the "Art Up play and play" public open day activity, link the offline group site theater and online new media platform, display the classic and high-quality repertoire works of various theaters and troupes, multi-form, multi-channel, multi-angle to let the audience get close to the art body, and immerse themselves in the charm of the front and back of the stage.
Under the string of Li Jing, deputy head of the Beijing Qu Art Troupe and famous cross-talk actor, and Ye Linyingzi, the actor of the young actor Ye Linyingzi in the children's drama "Uncle Rats Get Up Late", the scene created a Beijing flavor cultural atmosphere with Beijing rhyme. The three "elephants" in the large-scale epic puppet drama "The Elephant Is Coming", which once appeared on the stage of the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, also had a cute interaction with Ya Ya.
This year, the Beijing Quyi Troupe and the Beijing Quju Troupe under the Beijing Performance Group will celebrate the 70th anniversary of their establishment and the 70th anniversary of the naming of the drama genres, respectively. Beijing Quyi Troupe actors Guo Yinghuan, Li Xiang, Chen Nana and Sun Guosong performed the original Qunkou Allegro work "70 Years of Festive North Qu" for 70 years, while Xu Di, a famous opera artist who is active in the film and television field, sang an excerpt from the opera "Picking Bean Corner". Xu Di, who was admitted to the Beijing Opera School in 1975 and later became a disciple of Master Wei Xikui, said that they and Beijing Opera were mutually successful to this day. It is reported that the performance season will begin with the original Beijing-flavored drama "Guijie", which will be staged at the Tianqiao Art Center from April 30 to May 1, showing the audience the pyrotechnic life of the strong Beijing flavor.
During the May Day holiday, the large-scale documentary epic puppet drama "The Elephant Is Coming" will also usher in the premiere, which will be performed for four consecutive days at the China Puppet Theatre from May 1 to 4. At the same time, the magic drama "Magic Fun Constant Sound" created by the Chinese Acrobatic Troupe and the children's musical drama "Ice and Snow Dream of Ice And Snow Melting" created by Beijing Children's Arts will also be performed in Dongtu Theater and Century Theater. In addition, the children's drama "Uncle Rat Gets Up Late", based on the famous writer Ye Guangqian's children's literary works, will also return to the Shutu Theater on May 28, 29 and June 3-5. On May 29th, the "Children's Fun Man Play" National Orchestra Audiovisual Concert performed by the Beijing Folk Orchestra will also be performed at the Concert Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts. Traditional Beijing-style dramas such as the Beijing opera "Beijingers" will also appear later.

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing Quyi Troupe and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Beijing Ququ Troupe, the two theater troupes will also specially present the theme song art of the four famous works of "Three Kingdoms" and the two new classics of the Beijing opera "Yanju", together with the commentary "Xiangzi and tiger girl" and the Hebei Zizi "Zhou RenXian Sister-in-law", so that opera fans can fully feel the charm of opera culture. The large-scale dance drama "Five Stars out of the East" will end the performance season at the Tianqiao Art Center from June 10 to 12, recreating the moving legend of the national treasure with dance.
