The 17th Shanghai Municipal Games will be held from June to November 2022. The Shanghai Municipal Sports Bureau announced today that it will collect the emblem and theme slogan of this Municipal Games for the whole society.
The design requirements of this emblem reflect the Olympic spirit of "faster, higher, stronger and more united" and the spirit of Chinese sportsmanship, the spirit of Shanghai city of "embracing all kinds of rivers, pursuing excellence, enlightened and wise, and being humble" and the unique regional characteristics and profound cultural heritage of Shanghai. And around the theme elements of the 17th Shanghai Municipal Games, such as "Shanghai", "Seventeen" and "Sports".
The theme slogan requires the embodiment of the Olympic spirit and the Chinese sportsmanship. It embodies the concept of "mobilizing the broadest participation in youth sports, selecting the best sports reserve talents, and disseminating the most Maritime sports culture" of the 17th Shanghai Municipal Games.
