Hainan, Tibet and Xinjiang have not added new cases for more than 100 consecutive days, and 13 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities have achieved zero confirmed cases

According to the statistics released by local health commissions, as of January 20, the areas with no new cases for more than 100 days in the country were Hainan (166 days), Tibet (707 days) and Xinjiang (106 days). In addition, there are three new areas that have not been added for more than 60 days, namely Jiangxi (67 days), Qinghai (77 days) and Ningxia (74 days).

There are 13 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities that have achieved zero confirmed cases, namely Heilongjiang, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Anhui, Xinjiang, Jiangxi, Chongqing, Gansu, Hainan, Guizhou, Qinghai, Ningxia and Tibet.

Hainan: No new additions for 166 days

On August 1, 2021, a case of Hu Mou, who was positive for the initial nucleic acid of the new coronavirus in Haikou City, Hainan Province, was later confirmed as a new crown pneumonia case (mild). On August 5, 2021, a case of Lin Mouyong, who was positive for the initial nucleic acid of the new coronavirus, was detected in Haikou City, and was also confirmed as a case of new crown pneumonia (mild).

As of September 3, 2021, all 2 new confirmed cases in Haikou City in 2021 have been cured and discharged from the hospital, and zero cases of new crown pneumonia have been achieved. As of January 20, 2022, Hainan has had no new confirmed cases for 166 consecutive days.

Tibet: No new additions for 707 days

On January 29, 2020, Zhang Moumou was diagnosed with new crown pneumonia, becoming the first confirmed case of new crown pneumonia in Tibet.

On February 12, 2020, the confirmed patients were cured and discharged from the Third People's Hospital of the Autonomous Region, and Tibet achieved zero confirmed and suspected cases for the first time in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in the country. Since then, Tibet has had no new confirmed cases in Tibet for 707 consecutive days.

Xinjiang: No new additions for 106 days

On October 5, 2021, 1 confirmed case was reported in Khorgos City, Ili Prefecture, Xinjiang.

As of October 28, 2021, the last asymptomatic infected person was isolated in contact, and the existing confirmed cases of new crown pneumonia in Xinjiang were cleared, and the asymptomatic infected people were cleared. Since then, Xinjiang has had no new confirmed cases for 106 consecutive days.
