There were 3 new imported confirmed cases in the province, 2 cases were reported in Guangzhou, from France and Vietnam, and 1 case was reported from Dongguan from France. There were 5 new cases of asymptomatic infection imported from abroad, 4 cases were reported in Guangzhou, from the United States, France, Japan and Vietnam, and 1 case was reported from Shenzhen from Singapore. Case 18 is infected with "Omi kerong"

On 18 January, Shenzhen reported a confirmed case (case 18), a cleaning staff member of an international crew stationed at the hotel. At present, the Shenzhen Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention has completed the whole genome sequencing of the new coronavirus in case 18, which is an Aomi Kerong variant.

This is the second case of Opmi Kerong detected in Shenzhen.

After review by the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Aomi Kerong variant (BA.2 evolutionary branch) infected by case 18 was compared with the currently available data such as domestic native cases, imported case databases, and global new coronavirus databases, and no highly homologous viral genome sequences were found.

In addition, the first Case of Aomi Kerong in Shenzhen (Case 17 in the "0115" epidemic) was infected with the Aomi Kerong variant (BA.1 evolutionary branch), which is a different evolutionary branch and belongs to different sources from the Omil kerong variant infected by case 18.

Case 18 is a new independent outbreak

After preliminary investigation, the recent activity trajectory of case 18 is as follows:

· From January 1 to 14, the working period was in a closed-loop management state, and there were no community activities;

· From 1 to 14 January, the international crew worked in the "red zone" (high-risk zone) of the hotel, during which no entry into the "green zone" (low risk zone) and contact with the staff of the "green zone" were found, and no risk of regional transmission was found.

· After changing shifts on January 14, he was transferred to a centralized isolation hotel for medical observation and has been in a closed-loop management state.

Judging from the results of flow tracing and gene sequencing, case 18 is a new independent epidemic - "0118" epidemic.

There were no new outbreaks in Shenzhen today

Since the beginning of this year, Shenzhen has reported a total of 3 independent epidemics, and the circulation traceability, investigation and control are being carried out in an orderly manner.

· "0107" outbreak (16 cases): no new cases

For 7 consecutive days, there were "zero new additions" in the social surface (the new ones were found among the close contacts who had been controlled), the overall risk was basically controlled, and 1 of the 16 cases reported cumulatively had been cured and discharged.

· "0115" outbreak (1 case): no new cases
