Tics is a behavioral disorder that many parents often overlook. Some parents believe that ADHD and tic disorder will heal naturally when they grow up, and do not pay attention to children who are already pathological, delaying the opportunity for treatment. So what are the manifestations of childhood tics?
Specific manifestations of tic disorder in children
Sudden, rapid, involuntary, repetitive muscle twitching. The initial tic symptoms are relatively mild, usually with the eye and facial muscles beginning to twitch, and then the tic symptoms gradually worsen, involving a wider range of parts, from the head to the neck, shoulders, upper limbs, torso and lower limbs, forming a multi-site twitch. Over time, there may also be a variety of uncontrollable and strange movement twitches: such as stabbing, kicking, squatting, walking and spinning, etc.
Characteristics of obsolete language: some cases take multiple motor tics and vocal tics as the first symptoms, or vocal tics appear 1 to 2 years after the onset of motor tics; or single vocal tics are the first symptoms, such as shouting without syllables, various animal calls, clearing voices, or making meaningless words and sentences, or inappropriate sentences, often repeated stereotypical foul language, at least 30% of which appear in foul language.
Imitation of others: The phenomenon of imitation is one of the symptoms of tic disorder in children. Mimicking other people's language or animal sounds is the most common form of imitation. Some children will also spontaneously and repeatedly appear with V-image sign victory gestures, which can lead to behavioral disorders.
