Crus ningicollis, also known as plateau cranes, Tibetan cranes, geese, etc., are the only cranes in the world that grow and breed in plateaus. The black-necked crane is listed as one of the three national treasures of the mainland alongside the giant panda and the golden snub-nosed monkey.
It is said that the black-necked crane is very single-minded about love, adhering to monogamy, and the male and female birds accompany each other day and night, and stay together for life. Coincidentally, in March 2021, after the other cranes all flew away from the reserve, the staff found two black-necked cranes left behind, and after careful observation, they found that one of the wings was also injured, so they also sent the injured black-necked crane to be treated, and the other black-necked crane has also been wandering back and forth over Nian Lake, one will hover in the sky, one will be anxiously looking for it on the ground, and the desolate and mournful crane chirps through the clouds, lonely and lonely flapping its wings, and it is hesitant to leave. A few days later, it actually found an ambulance station nearly a hundred kilometers apart, found its partner, and has been moving around the ambulance station, accompanying its partner, as if to say: "If you don't go, I won't go!" Until, until, the injured black-necked crane heals and returns to nature.......
The black-necked crane is an infatuated bird, loyal to love, and once the male and female are paired, they will never abandon it for life.
