It is rumored that the Xiongnu were born from the Xia Dynasty and were descendants of Chun Wei, the son of Xia Jie. At that time, they did not live in the Central Plains, but in the remote north.

If this legend is true, it means that the Xiongnu were originally part of the Chinese nation. However, it was originally lived in a remote area, so that following the local ecological environment was different from the people living in the Central Plains.
The primitive environment developed the fierce personality of the Huns, and because of the lack of resources in their area, they could only live by plundering the surrounding people. Over time, the Huns were considered barbaric.

Mouton has always been a clever and witty person, and he knows what his father thinks by looking at his father's actions. Mo Dun decided not to blindly obey his father's arrangement, but to fight to the death.
Then Mo Dun stole Yue's good horse and rode it back to the Xiongnu overnight.
The Xiongnu people have always admired the strong, and when Touman saw the brave side of his son Mao Dun, instead of embarrassing him anymore, he gave him ten thousand elite soldiers.
However, at this time, Mao Dun's heart had been deeply hurt by his father, and he no longer cared about the affection of father and son, but used his military power to start raising soldiers.
Mo Dun led the troops very well, he made a mingdi, and also ordered the army to say that the mingdi pointed to where the army would attack wherever it was.
Under Mouton's training, he got a team that obeyed him. Later, Mao Dun successfully became the leader of the Xiongnu and led the Xiongnu to prosperity and strength.
What ethnic group is the Huns now?
Although the Xiongnu had a glorious period, the Central Plains were, after all, a civilized country, and the system and economy were much more developed than the Xiongnu in ethnic minority areas.
Therefore, during the period of Huo's illness, the Xiongnu were subdued by this general. The Xiongnu themselves were in decline, and they had to move closer to the Central Plains and intermarry with the Central Plains.
