Chen Shuxiang: Heroic "Broken Intestines Mingzhi"
On April 25, 2021, the first stop of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection in Guangxi was the Memorial Park of the Xiangjiang Campaign of the Red Army's Long March. In front of the oil painting "Chen Shuxiang", the general secretary stopped and stared for a long time. "Magnificent! Chen Shuxiang is a typical one of the heroes who sacrificed. In 1934, when the Central Red Army was preparing to cross the Xiang River, it paid a great sacrifice under the attack of the Kuomintang Xiang Army and the Gui Army. The Red Thirty-fourth Division, which was on a cover mission at the time, became a lone army under siege and unable to cross the river. Faced with a strong enemy more than a dozen times his own, Chen Shuxiang, then commander of the Red Thirty-fourth Division, led all the soldiers of the division to resist hard and fought with the enemy for five days and nights, winning precious time for the Red Army to cross the Xiang River. During the battle, Chen Shuxiang was seriously wounded and captured. On the way to escort, he took advantage of the enemy's lack of preparation, and with unimaginable strength and determination, he took out his intestines from the wound, strangled it with force, and sacrificed himself heroically.
The story of Chen Shuxiang has been told many times by General Secretary Xi Jinping. In October 2014, at the All-Army Political Work Conference, the general secretary spoke highly of Chen Shuxiang for "fulfilling the oath of 'shedding the last drop of blood for the Soviets.'" In April 2019, at the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the May Fourth Movement, the general secretary said, "Young heroes of the Chinese nation are born", "Chen Shuxiang, commander of the Red 34th Division, was 29 years old when he died, Qiu Shaoyun was 26 years old when he died, Lei Feng was 22 years old when he died, Huang Jiguang was 21 years old when he died, and Liu Hulan was only 15 years old when he died." Yang Jingyu: "The deeds shock people's hearts"

In 1932, Yang Jingyu was ordered to form an anti-Japanese guerrilla force in the northeast and fought with the enemy in the ice and snow for more than 7 years, and his strength continued to grow, dealing a heavy blow to the invaders. Under the siege of the Japanese army, Yang Jingyu fought with an enemy several times his own, and finally stood alone, still insisting on fighting, and died heroically on February 23, 1940, at the age of 35.
In the extremely arduous War of Resistance Against Japan, all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation fought for the survival of the country, for national rejuvenation, and for the justice of mankind; the breadth of social mobilization, the profound awakening of the nation, the tenacity of the will to fight, and the firmness of the conviction of victory have all reached an unprecedented height. We will never forget the great ideal for which the martyrs shed blood and sacrificed, vow to keep the original intention, undertake the mission, and strive to push forward the great cause for which the revolutionary martyrs fought and sacrificed. In order to commemorate the martyr Yang Jingyu, in 1946, the Tonghua Detachment of the Northeast Democratic Coalition Army was renamed the Yang Jingyu Detachment, and Maojiang County was renamed Jingyu County.
Xu Zhenming is the first director of the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery Management Office in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, and is now 96 years old. He successively participated in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, and in 1950 he participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea. Jiao Yulu: "The liver and gallbladder are as long as washing"
From March 17 to 18, 2014, General Secretary Xi Jinping came to Lankao, Henan Province, to give specific guidance to the second batch of the party's mass line education and practice activities, and called on the whole party to vigorously study and carry forward the spirit of Jiao Yulu in combination with the characteristics of the times.
