In Luzhou, he independently led his warriors to participate in many battles, killing many enemies. The experience of the battlefield laid the foundation for him to shape Wang Cheng's heroic image in the future.

Liu Shilong is not tall, not tall, and his appearance is not outstanding, he does not meet the requirements of the leadership, and his big and temperament can withstand the requirements of the scene, but the director is strong enough to resist the public opinion and resolutely wants Liu Shilong to play Wang Cheng.

The story behind the four main actors of "Heroes and Children"

At the beginning, when director Wu Zhaodi chose the male protagonist Wang Cheng in the filming of "Heroes and Children", he first asked the Long Film Troupe to propose recommended candidates, and the troupe proposed two people, but there was no Liu Shilong among the two people. Wu Zhaodi felt that neither of them was ideal, and proposed that Liu Shilong play this role.

The head of the troupe at that time clearly said: "Liu Shilong can't play a hero." Wu Zhaodi asked, "Why?" The person in charge of the troupe said: "Liu Shilong's ideology is seriously right-leaning, and he was once punished by probation in the party. To control usage. It turned out that Liu Shilong had said some excessive words and complaints in the struggle against the rightists in 1957, and at that time he took these words too seriously and was punished.

Director Wu Zhaodi did not take the problem as particularly serious, he believes that Liu Shilong has a good image and temperament, joined the army at the age of 9, rolled in the army for many years, and participated in the fight against bandits, playing the hero Wang Cheng has superior conditions. But it's not easy to stand up. Wu Zhaodi took a roundabout way and said: "I will try it first, and then I will change it if I am not qualified. "The troupe is not too insistent, and the two sides reached a trial agreement.

After Liu Shilong was tried into the "Heroes and Children" group, Wu Zhaodi said to Liu Shilong: "Liu Shilong, Wang Chengcheng is you, you have to play me well, you have to go to the army to become a soldier." Liu Shilong said: "Please rest assured that the director will definitely act well, I will not steam steamed

Therefore, Liu Shilong packed up his backpack and went to the outskirts of Changchun to serve as a soldier in a company under the 16th Army of his original unit. After arriving at the troops, he participated in many projects of standing guard, sending sentry, dropping bombs, killing, and competing in big competitions, and after 3 months, Liu Shilong was full of heroic temperament. Once not, a second time, makeup needs to re-dip eyebrows, trim sideburns, Liu Shilong can not take care of the many blisters on the arm that have been burned, gritting his teeth and running from the sea of fire again to kill the past, so that twice down, Liu Shilong's arms, the blisters on his body are difficult to count, Liu Shilong really regards himself as a hero, without fear, without complaint. He has a profound artistic foundation, he never complains bitterly, his hands are cocooned, and he never tires when he is tired, like a nervous, serious and combative soldier. In life, Liu Shilong is open-minded and cheerful, always holding a peaceful attitude towards the things around him, gaining but not happy, losing without worrying.
