As the bridgehead of ice and snow sports "South Exhibition West Expansion East", Shanghai has continuously promoted and popularized ice and snow sports in recent years, and the number of people participating in ice and snow sports has increased geometrically. Up to now, Shanghai has a total of 14 ice rinks, 43 indoor ski resorts, 3 curling venues, 8 curling tracks, and various ice and snow sports are distributed in 13 districts and 4 universities in the city. With the efforts of major business districts, there are currently 9 seasonal outdoor ice rinks in Shanghai, and the city has carried out a total of 7 ice and snow sports such as short track speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey, speed skating, curling, snowmobiling, and skiing.
