At present, there are more than 17 million visually impaired people in China, which is equivalent to about one in every 80 people who are visually impaired. How do visually impaired people enjoy movies? On April 23, the offline movie viewing activity of "1 Hour Away from the Colorful World" was held in Beijing. At the event, every guest wore an eye mask to experience how the visually impaired group enjoyed the film in an all-black visual environment.
"The Invisible World" is a social responsibility project jointly initiated by iQIYI and Aiyou Charity Foundation to help children with visual impairments in distress. So far, the project has successfully funded two visually impaired children to complete surgery to see the light of day. In the future, every minute of iQIYI's life may help children with visual impairments in difficult situations to get closer to the bright world.
Chen Hongjia, senior vice president of iQIYI, introduced that in June this year, iQIYI will officially launch the "Flower of Hope" interactive mini-game, when the accumulated time that users watch in iQIYI can be converted into public welfare value and directly participate in iQIYI's social responsibility projects. Based on the public welfare value accumulated by users through the "Flower of Hope", iQIYI can on the one hand use it to produce teaching aids and explanatory film and television works for blind children in distress, enrich their cultural and entertainment life and help them perceive the world; on the other hand, iQIYI will also cooperate with the "Aiyou Ansheng" Rescue and Protection Project for Children in Distress to provide help for more visually impaired children in distress, so that they can also have the opportunity to see the light again. In the future, "Flower of Hope" will continue to provide users with convenient channels to pay attention to vulnerable groups and participate in the rescue of children in distress, gather the strength of the public in a simple and interesting way, radiate public welfare benefits to more people in need, and attract more young people to devote themselves to the public welfare undertaking of caring for children with difficulties and visually impaired children.
