Born in 1905 in Qinyuan, Shanxi Province, Song Naide was exposed to progressive ideas during his studies as a teenager, and after the beginning of the Great Revolution, he came into contact with Marxism-Leninism and joined our party in 1926. After joining the party, Song Naide accepted the organization and dispatched to develop the peasant movement in his hometown, publicize the revolution, and do a lot of basic work for the development and growth of our party in the north in the early days.
After the defeat of the Great Revolution, Song Naide continued to lurk in his hometown to engage in underground activities, and developed a revolutionary force in his hometown, began to arm his resistance to the dictatorship of the Kuomintang, and established an underground party organization in his hometown, which was the main activity base of our party in the north.
In 1937, when the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in full swing, Song Naide continued to propagate anti-Japanese resistance in Shanxi, and also served as the county magistrate of Jincheng County, leading the local suppression of the traitor movement, and organizing the masses to support the Eighth Route Army, raising a lot of grain for the Eighth Route Army, and supporting the anti-Japanese activities in Shanxi.
In 1940, Song Naide followed Huang Kecheng south from Shanxi to the Yuwan Su region, serving as the head of the supply department of the Fifth Column of the Eighth Route Army. In 1941, after the Anhui Incident, Song Naide's unit was reorganized into the Third Division of the New Fourth Army, Song Naide continued to be responsible for the logistics and supply of the Third Division, and he also served as the anti-Japanese county magistrate of Funing County, Jiangsu Province, and organized the local military and civilians to build a 90-mile flood control embankment in Yanbu, which played a huge role in flood control and irrigation.
After the victory of the War of Resistance Against Japan, Song Naide followed the New Fourth Army to the northeast and participated in the opening of the northeast base area. During his time in the northeast, Song Naide successively served as the county magistrate of Tongliao County, the director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Finance, and the director of the General Taxation Bureau of the Northeast People's Government, providing great support to the troops in the northeast region in terms of financial and material resources and promoting the liberation of the northeast region.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Song Naide served as the director of the Hunan Provincial Department of Finance, during his tenure, he did a lot of work for the economic development of Hunan and the restoration of production and living order, including the cancellation of the black market of silver dollars in Hunan, cracked down on speculation, stabilized prices, and stabilized people's hearts, and because of his excellent performance, in 1953, Song Naide was transferred to the central government and served as the first vice minister of the Ministry of Light Industry, and Song Naide also continued to make outstanding contributions to the development of light industry in the mainland in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China.
However, in 1959, at the age of 54, Song Naide was dismissed from his post. It turned out that this year, our party held the Lushan Conference in Lushan, and after the Lushan Conference, Huang Kecheng was "overthrown" and Song Naide was also implicated by Huang Kecheng and sent down. The reason why Song Naide was implicated by Huang Kecheng is mainly because since the beginning of the War of Resistance Against Japan, he has worked under the command of Huang Kecheng, and the two have a good relationship in both work and personal aspects, including after the founding of the People's Republic of China, Huang Kecheng once ruled Hunan, and Song Naide also served as the director of the Department of Finance in Hunan, and the two have cooperated for more than ten years.
After that, Song Naide was sent to Hubei Hanyang Paper Mill as deputy director, and after the beginning of the ten-year special period, Song Naide was treated unfairly and was greatly damaged physically and mentally. In 1967, Song Naide was persecuted to death at the age of 62. It is worth mentioning that 12 years after Song Naide's death, that is, in 1979, the relevant departments rehabilitated him and restored his reputation.
