In the official website of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in November last year, we have seen the declaration information of BYD's new Tang EV, and the more obvious change in the new car is to replace the latest family front face and carry lithium iron phosphate blade battery.
Judging from the pictures of the new Tang EV, the front face of the new car adopts an enclosed grille and is equipped with a thick chrome trim similar to Han, inlaid with the Tang logo. Compared with the large-mouth grille of the current model, the rough feeling has been reduced, but it looks more grade.
The interior of the headlight group on both sides is composed of three LED light sources, and the daytime running lights with polylines are added, which can bring good recognition after lighting. In addition, the front face is also equipped with vertical vents, which are divided into upper and lower parts by a horizontal line, and combined with the bottom silver guard plate to ensure that the front face is layered and more sporty.
The design of the side of the new Tang EV is not much different from the current model, and the C and D pillars are also blackened to create a visual effect of the suspended roof. In addition, semi-enclosed wheels have been fitted below to further optimize aerodynamics.
In terms of body size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4900/1950/1725mm, and the wheelbase is 2820mm, which is 30mm longer than the current model.
The tail of the new Tang EV continues to occupy the entire visual center of gravity with through-type taillights, using two light strips above and below, and a transparent lampshade is integrated on both sides, which looks more chic. In order to echo the front face, the underside of the new car has also been decorated with vents, and the style of the rear encirclement has also been adjusted.
The power part, the previous declaration information shows that the new Tang EV will be equipped with a maximum power of 180kW, a peak torque of 350N·m drive motor, and match the lithium iron phosphate blade battery, the energy density of the battery is 150Wh/kg.
In terms of cruising range, the maximum cruising range of the two-wheel drive version of the new car under the NEDC conditions reached 700 km, and the maximum cruising range of the four-wheel drive version also reached 615 km. For reference, the current Don EV offers two battery life versions, 505km and 565km.
The price range of the 2021 Tang EV currently on sale is 279,500-314,800 yuan, although there is BYD as a brand support, but the sales are still not satisfactory.
