But in fact, there was an "emperor" outside the twelve emperors of the Qing Dynasty, although his "reign" was only 3 days. The maker of this farce was none other than Empress Dowager Cixi, who was famous in the late Qing Dynasty.
Empress Dowager Cixi was of the Yehenara clan, and her father was Yehenara Huizheng, who gave birth to this daughter, and huizheng had 3 sons and 1 daughter. The person who was installed as emperor by Cixi was none other than Huizheng's great-grandson, the grandson of Cixi's second brother Yehenara Guixiang, Ai Xinjueluo Puyan.

However, ai xinjueluo Puyan's father was also the grandson of the Daoguang Emperor, and he was the same age as Cixi's son Tongzhi. The Tongzhi Emperor's life was very tragic, his mother was so strong, he was particularly weak, and he died early at the age of 19, and Cixi had to choose her sister's son Guangxu.
Originally, Cixi counted as Guangxu's other mother and his aunt, but in the royal family, the hearts of the two could not go in the same direction at all. Late on the night of September 20, 1898, Empress Dowager Cixi received a secret report that Guangxu intended to put her under house arrest. Therefore, Empress Dowager Cixi took the lead in making a strong move, but instead put the Guangxu Emperor under house arrest and came to the court herself.
The contradiction between the two stems mainly from the restoration, which is intricate and difficult to sort out. In short, Empress Dowager Cixi profoundly realized that Guangxu was not a lord who listened to her own words. Since he is disobedient, find an obedient one to replace him. Thus, there was the grand debut of Aisin Kyora Puyan.
Pu Juan was born in 1885, 14 years younger than the Guangxu Emperor, who was still a 13-year-old child when he was placed under house arrest. But the younger she was, the more relieved Cixi became, and it didn't matter what kind of quality Pu Juan was. It is worth mentioning that Pu Juan is completely a brother in gold and jade, just knows how to eat, drink, listen to music, play with fists and sticks, love to watch plays, and once took eunuchs to fight with people, and as a result, his side was defeated.
In 1899, Empress Dowager Cixi issued a decree to have Pu Juan succeed the Tongzhi Emperor as his heir, and was given the title of "Great Brother". Since then, Pu Juan has been studying in the palace, but the performance of this big brother is really not good. But wherever there was a little unsatisfactory, Pu Yan was in the palace looking up at the sky and howling, the palace eunuch could not be persuaded.
By the first day of the first lunar month in 1900, Pu Yan had already replaced the Guangxu Emperor to go to the Great High Xuan Hall and the Fengxian Hall to perform rituals. Clear-eyed people can see that Pu Yan officially assumed the position of emperor. Although Pu Juan's time as emperor was short, he still gained the title of "Baoqing Emperor". However, many ministers, including foreign ministers, were more inclined to the Guangxu Emperor, and Empress Dowager Cixi had to temporarily shelve the enthronement ceremony.
Then, the Boxer Rebellion and the Eight-Nation Alliance entered Beijing, and Empress Dowager Cixi hurriedly escaped from the capital, and Pu Juan also fled. Unexpectedly, Empress Dowager Cixi thought that Pu Juan's father had connived at the Boxer Rebellion and was a criminal courtier, so Pu Juan was also convicted and was abolished the title of "Big Brother".
Pu Juan inexplicably became the "emperor" and inexplicably lost his identity. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, Pu Yan ate all his family property, and could only live sloppily, suffering from the cold eyes of the world, and died in 1942 due to illness.
