However, the history of Dacheng Kingdom is not long, from vigorous to withdraw from the stage of history, it is only ten years, from June 1854 to May 1864. There are many stories in it, but because of the limitations of history, very few have been handed down, and not many have been recorded.

Guiping, who has been the capital of Dacheng Kingdom for ten years, cannot find any cultural relics and sites related to Dacheng Kingdom now, and there are not many related memories left.

According to the information now released, there are only a few cultural relics related to the Dacheng Kingdom that remain in Guiping.

At the former site of the royal palace in Dacheng Kingdom, which is now the location of the central school of Guiping Xishan Town, when doing civil construction, the pig iron cannon and lead bullet cast by the Dacheng Army were dug up.

In the introduction of the ruins of Dacheng Kingdom, it is said that there is also a pair of stone lions, and the ladder in front of the palace gate. But strictly speaking, neither of these things is anything that existed during the Dacheng period. The pair of stone lions originated from the Stone Lion of The Xun prefecture, the governor of Xunzhou, Hu Nanfan, in the Qianlong year of the Qing Dynasty; that ladder step was also the original of the Qingxun Prefecture Capital, but chen Kai preserved it when he rebuilt the palace here, and witnessed the history of Dacheng Kingdom.

In addition, there is a stone stele of "Checking the Two Academies of Xunyang and Guiyi", which also mentions a little history related to DachengGuo, but this is a stone stele that only existed after Dachengguo, which is considered to be recorded in later generations.

In addition, there is one thing that is closely related to the Dacheng State, that is, a pair of couplets - the City God Union.

It is said that when the capital of The Great Cheng State, Guiping, was relocated to Xiujing, the city was built on Guiping City, and one of the most important buildings was the reconstruction of the City God Temple.

When Chen Kai and Li Wenmao attacked Xunzhou City, because of the fierce attack and defense, there were few intact buildings left in Guiping City, and the establishment of the new regime, the first and important task, was to build a royal palace and repair the City God Temple, and the style and majesty of the capital city were present.

The royal palace, equivalent to the center of the Dacheng state power, is a symbol of power.

The City God Temple, in the ancient city construction, is a very important temple. In the folk influence is very deep, has become a culture, simply put, the city god is the folk tradition worship of the guardian of the city, is the local official of the underworld, the authority is equivalent to the yang realm of the city's highest official. Generally in the county seat, the provincial city such a level of the place to build a temple sacrifice, the city god is equivalent to this place in the other world county governor, mayor.

Therefore, the palace was rebuilt on the original site of the Xunzhou Capital, and the City God Temple was rebuilt on the site of the original City God Temple.

Guiping's old city god temple, in today's Guiping no middle, of course, now there is no old trace, only an ancient well in front of the door is telling the changes of the former Guiping City God Temple for more than two hundred years.

This ancient well is called Yongjinjing, when it was built, there is no detailed description, according to the Qing Dynasty "Xunzhou Fuzhi" introduction, Yongjinjing existed before the Daoguang year, the right position of the well, is where the City God Temple was located.

The City God Temple was not originally here, and Qianlong only moved here in three years. Destroyed in the siege of DachengGuo, Dachengguo rebuilt the City God Temple on the original site. This Xiujing city god temple is built in a grand manner, and it is difficult to restore the historical appearance of any record description, but the couplet on the pillar stone at the door is recorded by history:

All because of the change of yin and yang of the temple priest,

The city is restored to the gods to distinguish between good and evil to distinguish between retribution.

There is also an inscription on the pillar stone, "Dacheng Hongde First Year Winter Jidan". This is enough to prove the construction of the temple in Dacheng Kingdom, and it can also be regarded as the only cultural witness left by Dacheng Country. However, due to historical changes, many things have changed, and the two colonnaded stones engraved with couplets have not been preserved, and only the rubbings of the pillar couplets have been preserved in the human world.

What kind of historical information can this remaining Dacheng Guo couplet leave in addition to making people reverie about the past of the Dacheng Guocheng City God Temple?

This is a pair of Tibetan character associations, the first word of the upper and lower joint reading, that is, "capital city", in short, can be regarded as a direct historical witness to the fact that Guiping City was once the capital of a regime. The "Capital Temple" and "City God" embedded in the upper and lower links clarify the status of this temple in Dacheng Kingdom and Xiujing City, which can also be regarded as a pun.

The ancients built temples and built temples, but they were not as utilitarian as modern people, and they valued an ideological concept more. To put it deeper, it is also the ruling class that achieves the display of power to the ordinary people through the ritual of sacrificing the gods; to say it shallow, it is to borrow the prestige of the gods to convey to the ordinary people a kind of goodwill, a wish for the future, and a desire for people to punish evil and promote goodness and yearn for a better life.

This is also a common pair of city god temple links, such as searching for words in the couplet: "change of yin and yang", "he mao sound spirit", "city restored to the god", "good and evil are clear", "zhao zhang retribution", the results basically point to the content related to the city god. In the surviving City God Temples across the country, those couplets can see similar words, which can also be regarded as a manifestation of the City God culture.

The choice of this couplet by the Dacheng Guocheng City God Temple actually has another meaning, that is, it reflects the concept of the regime itself, and we all know that the origin of the Dacheng Kingdom is actually related to the non-governmental organization "Tiandihui" that is widely spread in the novel.

The Heaven and Earth Association began in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasties, and at the beginning of its establishment, it had a very clear purpose, that is, to oppose the Qing Dynasty and restore the Ming Dynasty, which was told as a story, but because of the changes in the world, after the revival of hopelessness, this organization slowly developed into a jianghu gang, which has been active in the people, and has become a tool, bond and belief for the people to oppose the oppression of the local government, so it is not accepted by the government, and in many local chronicles in Guangxi, you can see the record of those who participated in the "Heaven and Earth Society" as "bandits".

In this way, the purpose of the gang has slowly changed, no longer anti-Qing and restoration, but instead opposing some bad official behavior in society, some social inequalities, and advocating some justice.

In a considerable part of the country, there are such gang organizations, especially in the two Guangdong areas, but they have not achieved national reunification, and the gangs in various places are interconnected, but they only plant the same banner, recognize the same founders, and shout the same slogans: "The town is high, a school of streams and mountains is shown through the ages; the door is facing the sea, and the water of the Three Rivers Gorge flows for thousands of years."

In fact, it is the independent development of all localities, do not interfere with each other, the boundaries are very clear, there is a very deep, so-called jianghu flavor, so, in the middle and late Qing Dynasty, watching the heavens and the earth will blossom everywhere, there are many help halls, but in the end, it did not become an important anti-Qing force like the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom.

Chen Kai and Li Wenmao were also from the Heaven and Earth Congregation, and in the Dacheng State formed by Guiping, there was no clear political goal, they grew up in the gang, and the gang's ideology and consciousness have always been very strong.

Therefore, it is only to grab the territory, punish the local government, overthrow some landlords, and uphold some justice for the people; there is no lofty goal and demand, just simply punish evil and promote good, and spread their simple desire to "act for the Heavenly Path" in the areas within their capabilities and in the core areas of their own influence.

In fact, several founding fathers of the Dacheng Kingdom themselves did not have the heart to think together, after drinking the celebration wine in the capital city of Xiujing Guiping, they would take their own teams, their own systems, and develop to different places, or follow the rules of the gang, with their own branches. It can be said that except for Chen Kai, basically several kings have never returned to Guiping.

The purpose of Dacheng Guo, as reflected in this couplet, only stays in the superficial meaning of "city god", does not really think deeply about yin and yang, good and evil, does not distinguish between he mao zhaozhang from the essence, cannot think of how many people in the world, only cares about selfishness, everyone has too many small nines and nines in their hearts, and failure is an inevitable thing.

On the other hand, the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom had a clear goal from the beginning, and although the program system did not succeed in the end, their momentum and historical influence were far beyond the reach of the Dacheng Kingdom.

Let's say that when it comes to the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom today, basically many people know that those heavenly figures, not to mention the thunderous ears, are also often mentioned and well known, and there are many stories of characters who have been excavated. But when it comes to Dacheng Country, then basically few people know.
