Long Shengwu is a native of Zhaotong, Yunnan, born in 1906, and is the eldest son of Long Yun, the "King of Yunnan". Long Yun had 6 sons and a daughter in his lifetime, and he was particularly fond of his eldest son, Long Shengwu, and had high hopes, so he sent him to the Yunnan Daowu Hall for training very early. Dragon Rope Wu, armed with his father's power, regarded the discipline of the military academy as nothing, and often sneaked out of the school gate to mess around. At first, the instructor did not punish Long Shengwu for Long Yun's reasons, but later the more he made trouble, the more he was upset, and the instructor could not bear to reprimand him and punish him for a week.

Long Rope Wu not only pushed back on the spot but also drew the robe knife he was carrying and slashed at the instructor, and everyone saw that Dragon Rope Wu was making too much trouble, so they rushed up to subdue him and put him in the confinement room, and then the school superintendent personally ran to the Dragon Mansion to tell Long Yun about it. Long Yun jumped like a thunderbolt after hearing this, claiming that he would teach Long Rope Wu a harsh lesson.
Long Shengwu was frightened when he learned of his father's rage, so he fled from the Daowu Hall back to Zhaotong's hometown. A few days later, Long Yun's anger subsided, and he sent someone to pick up Long Shengwu from his hometown and send him to the French Saint Cyr Army School to study. Founded in the Napoleonic period, the military academy was very famous at that time, and was once called the world's "four major military schools" together with the Royal Military Academy of Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Frunze Military Academy in the Soviet Union.
Without Long Yun's influence and care, Long Shengwu could no longer act arbitrarily at the Saint Cyr Military Academy as he did in Yunnan. Soon after, he was tired of the boring life of the military academy, and repeatedly sent telegrams to his father asking to return to China, but was severely reprimanded by Long Yun. Long Shengwu had no choice but to study at the Saint Cyr Military Academy for several years, barely mixing a graduation diploma. Soon after Long Shengwu returned to China, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression broke out in full swing, and the 60th Army of the Dian Army, under the leadership of Lu Han, rushed to the front line and fought a bloody battle between the Japanese and the Kosovars.

Long Yun had hoped that Long Rope Wu would go to the battlefield with the 60Th Army for some training, but Long Rope Wu was unwilling to go to the front line. Long Yun was very disappointed to see that the eldest son was so uncontentious, and he did not see the unburdened mentality, so he sent him to Tengchong and served as the highest governor of Tengchong and Longling. At that time, Yunnan was already the rear of the War of Resistance, tengchong was the rear of the rear, and Long Shengwu thought that no matter how strong the Japanese were, it was impossible to hit Tengchong, so he happily went to office.
Unexpectedly, the war situation changed too quickly, and the Japanese invaded and occupied Burma in 1942, and China's foreign aid channels could be cut off at any time. In order to ensure the smooth flow of the road for military assistance, the Chinese Expeditionary Force rushed to Burma to resist Japan, because the British army in Burma had lost its fighting spirit and blindly fled, the Chinese Expeditionary Force was unable to support itself, and soon retreated, and Du Yuming's troops suffered heavy losses on the way back from Savage Mountain. The Japanese then pursued along the Burma Road and captured Longling in early May.
The day after the fall of Longling, the Japanese troops of the two squadrons began to make tentative attacks on Tengchong, when there were nearly 10,000 people under Longshengwu's men, and the Japanese army was less than 400, which was completely combatable. However, Long Shengwu, the brother of the gongzi, was frightened and broke his guts, and even abandoned the city and fled, and the Japanese army occupied Tengchong without a single shot. Two years later, the Chinese Expeditionary Force paid the price of more than 20,000 casualties in order to recover Tengchong. After Long Shengwu ran back to Kunming, Long Yun not only did not punish him severely, but also appointed him as the deputy commander of the Yunnan garrison, and soon after transferred to the commander of the newly organized 19th Division.

After the victory of the War of Resistance, Lao Jiang transferred the main force of the Dian army to Vietnam under the pretext of being demoted, and secretly instructed Du Yuming to lead his troops into Yunnan and coerce Long Yun to go to Chongqing by force. After Long Yun left Yunnan, his eldest son Long Shengwu was also sent by Lao Jiang to the lu general's official class for training, and after graduation, he was appointed as a "major general in the presidential office to join the army". In 1948, Long Yun fled Nanjing with the help of Chennault and took refuge in Hong Kong, and soon after, Long Shengwu also came to Hong Kong to reunite with his father.
In August 1949, Long Yun electrified an uprising in Hong Kong, and Long Shengwu also signed his name on the electrification. After the founding of New China, Long Yun held an important position, and Long Shengwu was also appointed as a member of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, but he was accustomed to a life of red wine and greenery, unable to adapt to the strict cadre management system of New China, and soon returned to Hong Kong on the pretext of handling private affairs. After Lao Jiang learned of this news, he sent people to Hong Kong many times to lure Long Shengwu. At the end of 1954, Long Shengwu ignored the bitter persuasion of his father Long Yun and insisted on defecting to Taiwan.

After that, Long Shengwu lived a semi-reclusive life in Taiwan, eating and praying to the Buddha all day. In 1995, Ryujo took his death at the age of 89.
