Shanghai will soon formulate a development plan for intelligent and connected vehicles

Recently, it was learned from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology that in order to enhance the new momentum of the digital economy, in 2022, Shanghai will promote the development of intelligent and connected vehicles.

The first is to focus on traditional car companies, new forces, and technology companies, give play to the leading role of the "big terminal" and "big platform" of the whole vehicle, create Zhiji to become a high-end luxury pure electric brand, Andifan become the mainstream brand of technology and fashion, support Tesla, Weilai, WM, and Huaren Express to launch the "Made in Shanghai" brand, promote the materialization of Huawei's intelligent vehicle solution (BU) headquarters, and promote SAIC to explore pilot OEM models.

The second is to promote the breakthrough of "three wisdoms" terminals (intelligent driving, intelligent networking, and intelligent cockpit), and support key research environment perception, decision-making algorithms, control execution, vehicle-mounted interactive terminals, high-precision maps, roadside equipment, and information security.

The third is to accelerate commercial applications. Support SAIC Saike, Baidu, AutoX (United AutoNavi) and others to accelerate the large-scale pilot of robotaxi (self-driving taxis) in Jiading District, Shanghai, support the demonstration operation of smart heavy trucks in SAIC Yangshan Port to achieve "human reduction", and carry out new format exploration such as intelligent bus, unmanned sanitation, and unmanned distribution in specific pilot areas.

The fourth is to promote the coordinated development of policies, standards, brands, etc., formulate the "Shanghai Intelligent Connected Vehicle Terminal Industry Development Action Plan", support Pudong's driving without safety officer legislation, and make good use of industry organizations and third-party institutions such as the International Automobile City, Shanghai Inspection, and Intelligent Vehicle Innovation Platform.
