Xu Shiyou is a well-known general of our army, who has successively participated in the Agrarian Revolutionary War, the Long March, the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the War of Liberation, the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea, and the War of Self-Defense and Counterattack against Vietnam. In Xu Shiyou's life, there are many legendary stories, and today we will talk about his three marriages.
The wife was forced to remarry
When Xu Shiyou was young, his family was very poor, and in order to have food to eat, he followed a boxer to the Shaolin Temple to learn martial arts at the age of 8. After eight years of hard training, Xu Shiyou, who was full of kung fu, returned to his hometown. Soon after, he threw himself into the local peasant movement, serving as the captain of the peasant volunteer brigade and the captain of the artillery team in the six townships of Chengmagang. In those days, it was common for people to marry earlier. When Xu Shiyou was 19 years old, his mother arranged a marriage for him, and the woman's name was Zhu Ximing, who was four years older than Xu Shiyou.
Zhu Ximing is industrious and kind, his character is not to be picked, and he is also a member of the women's rescue association in the village. Although this is an arranged marriage, Xu Shiyou is very satisfied with Zhu Ximing. On the third day after the marriage, Xu Shiyou received the combat task, he bid farewell to his mother and new wife, and threw himself into the battlefield of blood and fire. Due to the tense fighting and the frequent transfer of troops, Xu Shiyou and Zhu Ximing gathered less and left more. After marriage, Zhu Ximing gave birth to three sons for Xu Shiyou, the first two children were unfortunately premature, only the third child survived, which is Xu Guang.
In 1932, the enemy concentrated heavy troops to launch a large-scale attack on the Eyu-Anhui Soviet Region, and in order to preserve its strength, the Red Army was forced to move. The enemy then carried out a frenzied burning and looting of the Soviet area, and for the families of the Red Army, they were even more brutal, either forcing them to remarry or selling them elsewhere. In this case, Zhu Ximing was forced to remarry, and Xu Guang and his grandmother depended on each other for their lives. The husband who Zhu Ximing remarried was also a good person, and he was very supportive of these things that Zhu Ximing did, but unfortunately he died of illness soon after, and Zhu Ximing never married again and has been living alone ever since. In 1965, Zhu Ximing's life came to an end, and before she died, she still remembered Xu Shiyou and told her son Xu Guang: "I only admit that I am the daughter-in-law of the Xu family, and after I die, you must bury me in the Xu family grave!" The second term fell into the well
When Zhu Ximing was forced to remarry, Xu Shiyou was fighting with the Sichuan warlords in the Sichuan-Shaanxi region, and knew nothing about it. Later, the Red Army repelled the enemy's "three-way siege" and "six-way siege" successively, and finally gained a firm foothold in the Sichuan-Shaanxi area, and Xu Shiyou was also promoted to the commander of the Red 4th Army by virtue of his battle merits. After the situation stabilized, Xu Shiyou sent people to inquire about his family information in many ways, only to learn that his wife Zhu Ximin had been forced to remarry.
Later, under the introduction of political commissar Wang Jian'an, Xu Shiyou married Lei Mingzhen, a female cadre who was then the county magistrate of Daxian County. Lei Mingzhen joined the revolution at the age of 16 and admired Xu Shiyou, who could fight a good war. After marriage, she took good care of Xu Shiyou. When the Red Army crossed the meadow three times, Xu Shiyou was ordered to raise cattle and sheep for the troops to eat, and the careful Lei Mingzhen collected the wool, washed and dried it, and rubbed it into a woolen thread, and knitted a sweater for Xu Shiyou to keep him close to the cold.
Chen Zaidao and Chen Xilian, the bachelors, were very envious of Xu Shiyou and quipped: "Commander, monks can please wives, why can't we ordinary people?" Xu Shiyou was very proud and joked: "Who told you not to fight well, and when you become a military commander, won't you be able to get married?" Just when everyone thought that Xu Shiyou and Lei Mingzhen, a loving couple, could grow old in vain, an unexpected thing happened but completely separated the two.
After the Long March arrived in northern Shaanxi, Xu Shiyou entered the Kang Da to study. Soon after, the "Approval Movement" was also launched in the Anti-Japanese War, and some of the Red Four generals were affected as a result. Xu Shiyou couldn't think straight for a moment, and he actually germinated the idea of taking people back to Sichuan to fight guerrillas. After the incident, Xu Shiyou was locked up. When people are in difficult situations, they often miss their relatives and hope to be able to get the understanding and comfort of their relatives, and the same is true for Xu Shiyou.
Xu Shiyou, who thinks that he "can't speak clearly with his long mouth", very much wants to see his wife Lei Mingzhen. But waiting for the left and waiting for the right, Lei Mingzhen never came. Soon after, Lei Mingzhen brought Xu Shiyou a letter and a package, which wrote categorically: "In order to protect the purity of the revolution, we have cut off our affairs in two, and I resolutely demand a divorce!" Please sign! Lei Mingzhen".
After reading the letter, Xu Shiyou was very sad, and when he opened the package, he was even more heartbroken, and Lei Mingzhen twisted the sweater he had knitted for Xu Shiyou with scissors. Xu Shiyou did not expect that Lei Mingzhen would be so desperate, is this not a falling stone? The stubborn Xu Shiyou borrowed a pen, and on Lei Mingzhen's letter, he forcefully wrote down the 4 words of "resolute divorce" and signed his name.
Later, after the great man's personal interrogation, Xu Shiyou's affairs were properly resolved and he was appointed deputy brigade commander of the 386th Brigade of the 129th Division of the Eighth Route Army. Lei Mingzhen regretted his impulsiveness and rashness, and repeatedly confessed his mistake to Xu Shiyou and hoped to remarry, but was rejected by Xu Shiyou. In desperation, Lei Mingzhen invited Chen Geng and Mr. Zhu to help make peace. Chen Geng locked Xu Shiyou and Lei Mingzhen in a room, trying to untie the knot, but Xu Shiyou broke through the door. At this point, the matter was irreparable, and soon after Lei Mingzhen re-established the family.
In 1966, Lei Mingzhen's family encountered difficulties, she wanted her children to join the army, but there was no way. At that time, Xu Shiyou was serving as a commander of the Nanjing Military Region, and Lei Mingzhen wrote a handwritten letter to Xu Shiyou, and then asked his children to take the letter to Nanjing to find Xu Shiyou for help. Xu Shiyou did not say a word after reading the letter, and immediately wrote eight words: "The son inherits the father's business, of course." Lei Mingzhen's children put on military uniforms in this way. He did not remember the old evil to his ex-wife, and also extended a helping hand in time, which shows that Xu Shiyou is indeed a person who cherishes love and righteousness.
At the age of 38, he remarried to a 19-year-old confidant and spent 44 years together
Soon after divorcing Lei Mingzhen, Xu Shiyou was transferred to the Jiaodong Military Region as a commander. Due to the frequent battles, he simply did not have time to think about personal matters. Until 1943, under the matchmaking of Wu Kehua, Xu Shiyou and Tian Pu met and fell in love, and soon after they married. At that time, Xu Shiyou was 38 years old and Tian Pu was 19 years old.
The ceremony of this wedding is extremely simple, but the process is legendary. Xu Shiyou has a long reputation, a very bold personality, and the day is his own big day, so he is in a good mood, and the requirements of the guests are almost responsive. He first performed a set of Shaolin fists to the crowd, which was dazzling and applauded.
Later, someone proposed to Xu Shiyou to perform marksmanship, and Xu Shiyou happily agreed. He came to the bride and smiled and said, "Oda, come and be my assistant!" Then Xu Shiyou and the others came outside, he put three bouquets of flowers on the bride's shoulders and top of his head, and cordially comforted Tian Pu and said: Don't be afraid, don't move, let's open our eyes for everyone and help them have fun.
Although Tian Pu did not know for a moment what kind of best play his husband would perform, he knew from his excited expression that there would be a wonderful "program" to make his comrades-in-arms feast their eyes, so he nodded his head and agreed. After that, Xu Shiyou came to a distance of more than ten meters from the bride, and coldly pulled out a pistol and fired three shots in a row.
