A few days ago, Volkswagen Kanche learned from official channels that FAW Toyota Corolla Ruifang will be officially listed on January 20, and the new car is a new SUV model of FAW Toyota, built based on the TNGA-C platform, with a pre-price range of 14.50-16.50 million yuan.
In terms of appearance, Corolla Relfang adopts a new family design language, the large mouth intake grille on the front face is very imposing, and the trapezoidal intake grille is blackened around the grille to enhance the sense of refinement. At the same time, the headlight group designed with the corner of the eye on both sides of the car is a double L-shaped design inside, and the lower surround is made of a coarser frosted material to enhance the overall visual effect.
In terms of size, the new car has a length, width and height of 4460/1825/1620mm, and a wheelbase of 2640mm. The side is wrapped with black skid plates to enhance the off-road style, which looks more wild and has a strong crossover style. The shape of the wheels is quite delicate, and the 17-inch rim is also standard throughout the series.
The rear part of the car adopts a more sporty design layout, and the taillight shape is very slender, which echoes the headlamps. The "COROLLA CROSS" logo is adorned above the license plate, giving the rear a better sense of integrity. The rear inverted trapezoidal license plate design echoes the front of the car, with the black skid plate decoration below, the overall design is harmonious and unified.
Compared with the appearance, the interior design of the new car undoubtedly has a stronger Toyota flavor, and the center console adopts a 9-inch suspension central control screen, embedded with Toyota Zhixing interconnection, AI voice interaction, TSS straight-line safety system, 7 airbags and other functions to meet the current user's intelligent travel needs. The new car will also be equipped with a mechanical instrument cluster with a 4.2-inch LCD display in the center. The top-of-the-line model also features a leather steering wheel, leather seats, electrically adjustable front seats, and 360° panoramic images.
In terms of safety, Toyota currently equips all models with the TSS II Smart Mobility System to maximize and actively reduce possible hazards. In the power section, the new car is equipped with a 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 126 kW, mated to a CVT gearbox, and a hybrid version is expected to be launched in 2022. In addition, the new car is also equipped with a suspension configuration of the front McPherson rear torque beam, focusing on the comfortable home positioning.
