On January 12, Huaren Express Gaohe Automobile held the first workshop and media communication meeting of 2022. However, unlike other brands that summarize past achievements and look forward to creating brilliant achievements in the new year, Gaohe Automobile has chosen to use safety technology analysis as the first lecture of the opening year.
The main speaker of this workshop is Dr. Chen Jun, founding partner and co-CTO of Huaren Express Gaohe Automobile, who shared with us his own car experience at the beginning: at first, the first car he bought was a sedan, but his father was very uncomfortable getting on and off the car because of the old problems of cervical and lumbar spine. Then he changed to an SUV, and this time the pain point of getting on and off the bus disappeared, while the mother had difficulty getting on and off the car because of the high clearance between the vehicles. Through this vivid example, Chen Jun reminds us how important it is to define design through scenes.
In terms of vehicle safety, Gaohe Automobile also imagines multi-dimensional scenarios in advance, and then carries out design and research and development work.
■ NT Spread Wing Door: First there is a function, and then there is a cool
For example, the most eye-catching design of Gaohe HiPhi X, the NT spread wing door, fully takes into account the different scenes that occur when the vehicle collides. The engineers of Huaren Express thought of the most tragic situation, the vehicle was hit and rolled over, when the vehicle "rolled" can return to the normal posture, then all the doors can be opened, but when the vehicle rolls over, the personnel in the car can escape by opening the roof wing door, and if the vehicle is completely reversed, the personnel can still open the side door to leave the vehicle. Therefore, the winggate doors that now look very cool and full of rituals should first and foremost be a changeable escape route.
Of course, the R&D team also considered how to open the door, after all, HiPhi X is an electric door model. First of all, there is a door power supply redundancy system in front of and behind hiPhi X, whether you are "rear-end" or "rear-end", there is always another redundant system that can help us open the door smoothly. And if it is really relatively weak, encountering the situation of "front and rear pinch", the HiPhi X also has a mechanical cable on the door, and the weight is even above the electronic control system, allowing us to manually open the door.
However, if the door is easily deformed in the event of a collision, even with the above technology and settings, it is still impossible to guarantee that the door of the HiPhi X can be opened smoothly. To this end, the engineers of Huaren Express used computer topology technology to optimize the shape of each bearing force part of the body for dozens of rounds, focusing on optimizing the transmission path of force in the event of collision and dispersing the load.
As you may not expect, the NT spread door also contributes here. First of all, in the structure, because of the presence of the spread wing door, the top of the vehicle forms an "I-beam", which can be more stable. At the same time, the HiPhi X's wingspan door and body connection are locked with two locks to ensure that the door and the body form a tight one-piece cockpit, so as to better withstand and defuse the impact force.
At the same time, in the choice of materials, the R & D team strengthened the door structure of the 7 series high-strength aviation aluminum commonly used on the aircraft, and the side columns and front columns used 1500MPa ultra-high strength thermoformed steel. The effect is that while reducing the weight of the HiPhi X vehicle, the body twisting steel is increased by 25% compared with the market average, ensuring the integrity of the cockpit and ensuring the living space after a traffic accident.
In addition to traffic safety, NT spread wing door at the beginning of the development also takes into account the safety of the operating environment, such as the rain sensor equipped with the vehicle will be connected with the wing spread door, when the rain monitoring system finds that it is raining outside, it will tell the top spread wing door not to open anyway, in addition to the full frame double three-dimensional sealing strip, and the scientific design of the water sink can ensure that the rain will not leak no matter how big. In addition, for the northern ice and snow weather, the door may be frozen, then the wing door will have about 50kg of "ice-breaking" ability, smoothly open the door.
■ Software: Intelligent service for security
If the NT winggate above is a landmark case of Gaohe Automobile's "scene-defined design" in terms of passive safety, then the multiple software systems equipped with HiPhi X are showing this concept in the field of active security. For example, the world's first evolvable custom digital lighting system "PML", which is not only a lighting group, but also can project a pattern that avoids direct exposure to people's eyes, reminding pedestrians of the risk of not paying attention to, and even playing a zebra crossing, asking pedestrians to pass first. In addition, on very narrow roads, this lighting system can throw a light blanket, as long as the light blanket can pass through the road, the car will certainly be able to drive past, which will be very friendly to many drivers.
At the same time, Gaohe HiPhi X is also equipped with a vehicle dynamic control system, referred to as "IVC". It has the ability of feed-forward brakes, integrated control of front and rear wheel steering, etc., and will predict and intervene in advance when the vehicle is about to be unstable to prevent accidents.
For the autonomous driving assistance system, hiPhi X is the world's first production car equipped with six dual redundancy systems, which has perceptual redundancy to predict various risks, brake redundancy of braking systems, steering redundancy for direction control, communication redundancy for controlling vehicle movements, and power redundancy for power management. And crucially, they're both double backups, with one more insurance.
In terms of battery safety, which consumers are very concerned about, the waterproof sealing performance of the battery developed by the engineers of Huaren Express is 48 times that of the national standard, which can make the battery soaked in 1 meter deep for 24 hours and still be intact.
This is because Gaohe Automobile's consideration of battery safety has set up a total of five dimensions, namely cell safety, module safety, battery system safety, structural safety, and cloud security.
Here Chen Jun especially introduced the fifth dimension of cloud security, he said that with the 5G network and the H-SOA electronic architecture developed by Gaohe Automobile, HiPhi X can interconnect the battery terminal with the cloud server in real time, provide a full range of visual status display for the battery, accumulate a large amount of data, and warn of the abnormal state of the battery, and can also dynamically optimize the use environment and improve battery life.
■ Eco-friendly and safe = luxurious
Finally, Chen Jun introduced us to another unique "safety" dimension: environmental protection and safety. As a brand positioned in the high-end market, Gaohe Automobile's understanding of "luxury" is indeed different, and they regard safety and environmental protection as important criteria for selecting the material of interior accessories.
For example, the seat, Gaohe HiPhi X uses a special leather, called plant tanning semi-aniline leather, which adopts a chrome-free tanning process, no heavy metals, healthy and environmentally friendly. In terms of touch, Chen Jun said that this leather seat feels a bit like baby's skin, soft and delicate, and there is no obvious odor, which is very comfortable.
In addition to genuine leather, Huaren Express and Dow Chemical have also developed innovative silicone leather materials after three years of research and development. It also has a skin-level touch, does not contain harmful solvents and plasticizers, has no odor, no volatilization, excellent flame retardancy, and is more resistant to aging during use, with stronger stain resistance, wrinkle resistance, easy to clean.
There is also air treatment in the crew compartment, Gaohe HiPhi X is equipped with an oversized HEPA (High Eefficient Particulate Air Fliter) biochemical grade filter, which is composed of a pre-filter layer of spunbond process and melt-sprayed microfibers, which can effectively filter 0.3 microns of dust, and the effect of purifying the air is even far beyond the N95 level mask.
In addition to the sense of touch and smell, the engineers of Huaren Express also carefully set the auditory effect of HiPhi X. For example, the use of fine structural processing and acoustic tuning, coupled with the acoustic sound-absorbing cotton of the Michelin electric car exclusive tires, makes the vehicle extremely quiet in any scene. Later in the day of the event, Gaohe Auto officially released the sales data for December 2021 and the whole year, of which the HiPhi X sold a total of 919 vehicles in December, an increase of 20.4% compared with November, and the sales volume created a new record here, and it was also the "top stream" of sales of more than 500,000 luxury pure electric vehicle segments after September.
In the full year of 2021, Gaohe Automobile's cumulative sales volume was 4,237 units, and its cumulative sales from July to December were 3,724 vehicles, making it the brand with the highest sales of more than 500,000 luxury electric vehicles in the second half of 2021. It is believed that with the further expansion of Gaohe automobile channels, marketing activities are more active, more users from the heart of word of mouth, Gaohe HiPhi X market performance will be better and better, and this will also strongly prove that "scene definition design" is the best path for the upward development of future intelligent electrified models.
