At the end of 2020, Liaoyuan City undertook the task of developing domestic snow wax vehicles, and used the advantages of Jilin ice and snow equipment manufacturing industry to complete the scientific research and manufacturing of snow wax vehicles in less than a year.
After the first "snow wax car" independently developed by Liaoyuan City arrived in Beijing, it was stationed in the "Erqi National Ice and Snow Training and Scientific Research Base" in Beijing, and successfully completed the pre-race comprehensive commissioning work in accordance with the requirements of the relevant events of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
According to Wang Jincheng, director of the general manager office of Liaoyuan Automobile Modification Co., Ltd., the first "snow wax car" independently developed by Liaoyuan City will serve the snow project in the Yanqing area of the Winter Olympic Games. During the Beijing Winter Olympics, the Yanqing division will host alpine skiing, snowmobiles, steel-framed snowmobiles and bobsleighs.

Director Wang Jincheng told China Jilin Network that Liaoyuan City organized elite personnel to upgrade the snow wax car as a whole, and the front of the car used FAW Jiefang's latest J7 as a traction. The carriage is completely made of aluminum alloy, the main structure adopts high-speed rail carriage forming technology, the overall rigidity is good, corrosion resistance, and the quality of the maintenance is more than 4 tons lighter than that of steel products. The total length of the carriage is 13.7 meters, the two sides of the carriage can be expanded, the total width of the box after expansion is 5.95 meters, and the comprehensive use area after unfolding is 82 square meters.
From the appearance point of view, the theme color of this snow wax car is blue and white, and the body is printed with snowflakes, snow fields, and tianchi, which is full of ice and snow. The words "Chinese National Team", "Chinese Ice and Snow" and "Jilin Liaoyuan" highlight the Elements of Jilin in China.

The snow wax car is divided into four areas: work area, rest area, living assistance area and equipment area.
In-car functional area
There are a total of 19 ski storage cabinets in the work area, each cabinet stores 6 pairs of skis, a total of 114 pairs of skis of various specifications can be stored. In the middle of the work area is the waxing area, a total of two double waxing tables, which can be used for four people to wax at the same time. In the middle of the rear is the texturer, and the texturer base can be rotated and fixed.
The front part of the left side of the car is a seating area, which is separated from the waxing area by a soft curtain, and the side wall is equipped with 2 folding tables and 4 folding chairs for the staff to rest.
The assisted living area consists mainly of an ecological toilet and a pantry. There is no sewage system in the ecological toilet; domestic garbage is directly carbonized at high temperature and collected after drying.
The equipment area is mainly composed of a 64KW ultra-quiet generator and a 11P air conditioning fresh air system.

Director Wang Jincheng introduced that the car is generated by diesel generators, with noise below 65 decibels and illuminance of 500Lx or more. There is a water supply and exhaust system in the car, and the number of air changes per hour is not less than 10 times. The exhaust system in the waxing area is the upper suction and lower drainage. The whole car adopts PLC control, automatic control of temperature and humidity, touch screen operation, and carriage expansion is operated by remote control. There is a monitoring system outside the car, an external environment display in the car, and a live broadcast display screen of the race.
