The diary of the Winter Olympics | braving the cold to work outdoors, but there is a flame burning in his heart

I was a former soldier, and during my 10 years of service, as an operational and training staff officer, I participated in more than 40 exercises of all sizes in the whole army, and I was accustomed to seeing the mighty and powerful torrent of steel and the smoke of gunfire on the battlefield. In 2019, I transferred from the army to work in the court, determined to shine in my new position.

When I learned that I was recommended for the security mission of the Winter Olympics, I was very excited, and I was full of expectations and expectations for the Winter Olympics as a keen lover of skiing and ball sports. Being able to serve and guarantee the Winter Olympics is like a special gift to me, which makes me have an indissoluble relationship with the Olympic Games.

On January 25, I officially participated in the service guarantee work of the Winter Olympics. From the moment I stepped into the office area, I was struck by the atmosphere that was in full swing. My work department has to complete the 20-day, more than 170 competitions related to the audit and screening, organization and coordination, comprehensive support and emergency response tasks. When I first arrived at the post, I worked overtime for a week until the early hours of the morning, and the huge workload was far beyond my imagination. Every colleague here is dragging a tired pace, but in high spirits and high morale. Because everyone has a flame burning in their chests, they are constantly striving for the common goal in their hearts. After completing a large number of program plans, checking massive data, surveying the mobile route, and communicating and coordinating various tasks, the staff of our department were sent to different arenas to organize and implement specific work.

Snowflake-shaped lanterns, soft and cute "ice piers", "snow melting"... "City of The Two Olympics" Beijing, the winter Olympic elements on the streets can be seen everywhere, adding a different flavor to the Spring Festival. At this time, I was working intensely in the Yanqing field area.

On the evening of February 5, the first game in Yanqing gave us a test. At 22:00 in the night, near the end of the last game, there was a sudden strong wind in the mountains, and the temperature plummeted. When the task was completed, the temperature dropped to minus 13 degrees Celsius, the body temperature was approaching minus 20 degrees Celsius, the mask stuck to the face, and the eyelashes were covered with frost. At night, Juyongguan and badaling Great Wall are like tigers standing on the dragon plate, threatening to kill. On the way back, admiring the scenery along the way, thinking about the grandeur of the various competitions during the day, a sense of pride rose from the bottom of my heart, I sighed that there were so many delicate rivers and mountains, which led countless athletes to bend their waists; even more sighed that under the double challenge of the Winter Olympics and the prevention and control of the epidemic, my motherland was so lightweight.

Rushing back to the station 70 kilometers away, it was already one o'clock in the morning, looking at the grand situation of the game in the circle of friends and the news that the Chinese team won the first gold, I touched the itchy and painful frostbite on my hand, and unconsciously a little sweetness flooded my heart, this gold medal may also have a little contribution from me.

The curtain has opened on the Winter Olympics, and every day is a day full of passion and surprises. I have the honor to work with thousands of staff members who adhere to various posts in the Winter Olympics to step on the ice and lie on the snow and face difficulties, because we all have a common romance and agreement in our hearts: ice and snow as the medium, not to live up to the covenant of the Winter Olympics; ice and snow as the medium, to go to the Covenant of the Winter Olympics.
