On January 13, Shaanxi province added 8 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, all in Xi'an

According to the website of the Shaanxi Provincial Health Commission, at 0-24:00 on January 13, Shaanxi Province reported 8 new local confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (all in Xi'an City), of which 7 cases were found in isolation and control, 1 case was found in key population screening, and 171 cases were cured and discharged from hospital.

Since December 9, 2021, Shaanxi Province has reported a cumulative total of 2,066 locally confirmed cases (2,039 in Xi'an City, 13 cases in Xianyang City, 13 cases in Yan'an City, and 1 case in Weinan City), of which 844 cases were discharged from hospital and 1,222 cases were hospitalized.

At 0-24:00 on January 13, there were no new reports of confirmed cases, suspected cases, and asymptomatic infected persons imported from abroad.

The local confirmed case 1, female, 52 years old, currently residing in Yanta District, Xi'an City, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 65 released on 2 January. He was isolated on 3 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 13 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 2, female, 52 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an. There were confirmed cases in the work area, they were isolated on December 29, and on January 13, they tested positive for nucleic acid and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case is 3, male, 59 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an. There were confirmed cases in the work area, they were isolated on December 24, and on January 13, they tested positive for nucleic acid and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (mild) by the municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 4, female, 48 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 34 released on 5 January. He was isolated on 5 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 13 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

Locally confirmed case 5, female, 26 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 34 released on 5 January. He was isolated on 5 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 13 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 6, female, 26 years old, is a closed-loop manager and is isolated in the new urban area of Xi'an City. On January 13, the nucleic acid test result was positive in the screening of key populations, and it was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new crown pneumonia (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case is 7, male, 45 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an. There were confirmed cases in the work area, they were isolated on December 25, and on January 13, they tested positive for nucleic acid and were diagnosed as confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The local confirmed case 8, female, 3 years old, currently residing in Chang'an District, Xi'an, is a close contact of the local confirmed case 40 released on 6 January. He was isolated on 5 January, tested positive for nucleic acid on 13 January, and was diagnosed as a confirmed case of COVID-19 (mild) by a municipal expert group.

The above local confirmed cases are isolated and treated in designated medical institutions, and the specific activity trajectory is released by Xi'an City.

As of 24:00 on January 13, a total of 2,329 locally confirmed cases (1,222 cases in hospital, 1,104 cases discharged from hospital, and 3 deaths) were reported.
