Let the teachers and students harvest full of joy
At the same time, it also makes everyone feel more deeply
This beautiful campus is not only ours
It also belongs to many beautiful creatures!
Shi Hui, who works in the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of the Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, is a photography enthusiast who has been carrying a camera for years to track the ecological changes of the school's artificial lake, Siyuan Lake. Shi Hui introduced that in the 30,000-square-meter Siyuan Lake and its surrounding wetlands, there are more than 20 species of birds living, including egrets, cattle-backed herons, pond herons, and night herons. Circumnavigating the lake for 700 meters, it is like walking into the Dongting Lake depicted by Fan Zhongyan: "Sand gulls soaring, jin scale swimming, shore Zhi Tinglan, lush green ..."
Surprisingly, in recent years, the number of egrets on the campus has increased, and it seems that only one egret has fixed here to feed, and the location is relatively single - wetland; later, two or three egrets, as well as its distant relatives red heron (pond heron) and night heron, have also come to the campus to "settle", they have more places to live, in addition to wetlands, on the banks of the river in Longxing Port, they can occasionally find their traces on the school's Siyuan Lake.
In Shi Hui's view, the egret on campus
It is the "spirit", the embodiment of beauty, a delicate poem
Add life and fun to the campus
"I hope that more teachers and students will have the privilege of seeing the 'elves',
Live in harmony with it, and cherish and love the campus environment. ”
These birds are also regular visitors to campus wetlands //

Shi Hui said that there are many birds that have not yet been able to be captured by the camera, but they have always lived around us. "About 90 percent of the campus 'elves' you've never seen before, and 90 percent of them inhabit campus wetlands and other corners. Man and nature live in harmony, let us be friends with these cute little ones on campus. ”

National First Class Protected Animals Quietly Live in Fudan Jiangwan Campus //
Jiangwan Campus of Fudan University
This is a chance encounter
The campus of the national first-class protected animal , the little civet cat
Since April 2020, the Natural Ecology Research Association of Fudan University, with the support of Researcher Wang Fang of the School of Life Sciences of Fudan University, has set up 15 infrared cameras in Handan Campus and Jiangwan Campus for data collection according to the characteristics of water system distribution, green space distribution and human activities on campus, and conducted a thorough survey of the overview of wild animals on campus, accumulatively collecting more than 70,000 photos and videos.
Through these more than 70,000 pieces of data, the Scientific Expedition Association found that the Fudan campus contains a complex structure and a rich animal community - including mammals such as civet cats, weasels, hedgehogs, Dai Sheng, squids, yellow and black waterfowls, night herons, gray magpies, bead-necked doves, brown-backed Burrows, white-headed plovers, mountain doves, silk starlings and other birds, in addition to a large number of insects and amphibians and reptiles.
Among the many animals recorded by infrared cameras, the most surprising thing is the national first-class protected animal civet cat. This proves that this animal, which was recorded in the Shanghai List of Wildlife under Key Protection, has not completely disappeared in the Yangtze River Delta region, which has also restored some confidence in the long-term maintenance of urban biodiversity.
"Don't look for and disturb, keeping your distance is the love for wildlife." Wang Fang, a young researcher at the School of Life Sciences, said.
In your school
There are some "treasures" for small animals
Is it something that everyone doesn't know?
Hurry up and share it with you.~
Love animals, starting from you and me
Treat them well together!
