Zhou Youbing, a young scholar at China Three Gorges University, won the Young Scientist Award of the 23rd International Congress of Zoology

  Recently, the 23rd International Zoological Congress announced the 2021 award-winning projects, and Professor Zhou Youbing of China Three Gorges University won the "Young Scientist Award". Only three people in the world received this honor, and the other two outstanding contribution awards were awarded to scientists from the University of Tokyo in Japan and scientists from Germany.

  The award is nominated by the Special Committee of the Zoological Society International for outstanding young scholars in the field of global zoology, and reviewed and awarded by the Executive Committee of the Society, aiming to recognize young scientific and technological talents who have made outstanding contributions in the field of zoology worldwide.

  It is understood that Professor Zhou Youbing is committed to animal ecology research, and has published more than 90 academic papers in the study of forest fruit-eating animal ecological protection and animal seed dissemination, including nearly 40 SCI papers. First author and corresponding author of more than 30 SCI papers with a cumulative impact factor of over 100, including Global Change Biology, Frontiers in Ecology and the Environment, proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences), journal of ecology and other mainstream ecological journals. At present, it has presided over 4 national natural science foundations, 18 projects such as the Ministry of Environmental Protection's public welfare industry scientific research projects, major biodiversity projects, 18 overseas key projects of the Ministry of Water Resources, the Japan Academic Promotion Association (JSPS) and the Chinese Academy of Sciences Youth Promotion Association Talent Project.
