Spring is a warm season, when yang energy grows. In spring, the liver qi is the fullest, the liver fire is the most vigorous, people are the most likely to get angry, and the same is true for small animals, so what should you do if you are accidentally injured when you touch small animals?
First of all, no matter what animal you are bitten or scratched, you should pay attention to it, and you should not take it lightly because there is no bleeding or the animal has been vaccinated.
The first step is to irrigate the wound, regardless of whether there is a visible damage to the skin, wash the wound with soapy water or a weak alkaline detergent and running water for 15 minutes, then use sterile gauze or absorbent cotton to absorb the residual fluid at the wound, and finally rinse the wound with normal saline to avoid residual soapy water or other cleaning agents at the wound.
The second step is to disinfect, thoroughly rinse and use dilute iodophor or other medical preparations with inactivating virus ability to rub or clean the inside of the wound, so as to inactivate the possible pathogenic bacteria remaining in the wound.
The last and most important step is to seek medical attention promptly. Your doctor will not only re-treat your debridement, but also decide whether you need a rabies vaccine or another vaccine based on the exposure to the wound.
No matter what we do afterwards, it's not as good as not getting bitten, and it's important to take good care of the animal. Daily to do a good job of domestic pet vaccination and other disease prevention work, pet mood is not good or is in the mating period, try not to "provoke" it, avoid random touch, feed stray animals.
