Recently, the Office of the Headquarters for the Prevention and Control of Major Animal Diseases in Anding District organized personnel to carry out an emergency drill for major animal epidemics in 2024 in the cattle and sheep trading market in Xiangquan Town.
The drill simulated the scene of the outbreak of foot-and-mouth disease in sheep raised by a farmer in Xiangquan Town, with 3 projects and 8 links.
During the exercise, after receiving the epidemic report, the office of the district headquarters for the prevention and control of major animal diseases quickly determined the epidemic level and activated the emergency plan after analysis and judgment. In accordance with the emergency plan, all member units and emergency reserve teams have carried out scientific and standardized drills on the command and coordination, blockade, culling and harmless treatment, disinfection and source elimination, and emergency immunization of sudden major animal epidemics.
The whole exercise process was orderly, and all relevant personnel obeyed the command, responded calmly, tacitly cooperated, and scientifically and decisively completed the task of dealing with the epidemic. The whole drill lasted two hours, which verified the scientificity and practicability of the emergency plan for sudden animal epidemics and achieved the expected results.
More than 50 people, including the office of the headquarters for the prevention and control of major animal diseases in Anding District, the heads of the member units of the headquarters, some town and village cadres in Xiangquan Town, emergency reserve team members, and livestock owners, participated in the drill.
