Huawei has won 5G orders from many African countries, and the United States cannot stop it

On January 11, local time, Zambia and Huawei announced cooperation to officially launch a 5G pilot network on the 11th, making Zambia one of the earliest countries in Africa to have a 5G network. So, what is Huawei doing in Africa's 5G?

Looking at the opening of 5G in Africa, as the most developed country in Africa, South Africa is definitely the first country to open 5G. In May 2020, South African telecom operator Vodacom announced that it had launched Africa's first 5G network in three South African cities and plans to further expand 5G services to other parts of South Africa.

Huawei has also taken a number of 5G contracts. On March 26, 2021 local time, a Kenyan communications operator held a 5G service release ceremony in the capital Nairobi. Kenya Minister of Information and Communications Joe Mucheru and Acting Director general of the Kenya Communications Authority, Ensi Wanju, attended the launching ceremony. Kenya became the second country in sub-Saharan Africa to launch 5G services after South Africa.

At the time, it was said that a Chinese communications company was a major supplier of 5G services in Kenya, apparently either Huawei or ZTE.

In 2020, Huawei signed a 5G cooperation with the African country of Morocco, and it is said that more than 70% of countries in Africa have chosen to believe in Huawei.
