The Wounded Japanese Soldiers were abandoned after the war, and the Henan peasants took them in their care for 47 years, and the way of repaying them was lamentable

We read all the lead to present a different history.

Good morning, friends! Ziyuan has previously introduced to you the international friend Hayashi Yaichiro, who has contributed to the construction of China's air force, which has triggered a heated discussion among readers. In fact, during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, many Japanese soldiers suddenly woke up after being captured and persuaded by our army, realized the evil nature of the war of aggression against China, and thus took the initiative to throw themselves into the anti-war movement. After the war, some disabled Japanese troops did not return to China, but chose to stay in China. Today, we will talk about the touching story of the Chinese farmer Sun Bangjun's family taking care of the Japanese wounded soldier Ishida Higashishiro.

In the autumn of the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946 AD), a year after Japan's defeat and surrender, ordinary people in most parts of China returned to a peaceful pre-war life, and Sun Bangjun, a villager in Lianggou Village, TaishanMiao Town, Nanzhao County, Henan Province, was no exception. One day, when he and his wife were carrying excavated mountain goods to the town to catch a market, they found a beggar with a very strange behavior on the side of the road. This man was dressed in rags and kept begging for food from pedestrians on the side of the road, but instead of begging for food like other beggars, he covered his face and flinched. The kind-hearted Sun Bangjun stepped forward to greet him, and only then did he learn that this person was a Wounded Japanese soldier left in China.

Although Sun Bangjun hated the Japanese invaders as much as most of the Chinese people, seeing the pitiful appearance of the wounded soldiers, Sun Bangjun felt a little unbearable in his heart, so he took out two nests from the dry food jacket and handed them to the Japanese wounded soldiers in front of him. The wounded soldiers were overjoyed to see the situation, and after eating the nest head, they actually followed Sun Bangjun and his wife behind him, and always refused to leave, seemingly hoping that the kind Sun Bangjun and his wife would take them in. Sun Bangjun and his wife are both extremely simple and kind farmers, and after some consultation, the two decided to take in the wounded soldiers, thinking that this can also be regarded as a collection of virtues. No one expected that the wounded soldier would live for 47 years.

Knowing that the Sun family had taken in a Japanese ghost, it was difficult for the villagers to understand the practices of Sun Bangjun and his wife, and some extremists also angrily called Sun Bangjun a traitor and vowed to cut off all contact with him. Sun Bangjun and his wife constantly explained to the villagers that during the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, many Young Japanese people were actually forced to participate in the war and invaded China, and they were all victims of the war like Chinese. Because the Japanese wounded soldiers were honest and duty-bound, not angry or trouble-making, with the passage of time, the villagers gradually accepted him, and gave him a nickname of "Komonoro", and from time to time he would send some extra clothes to Sun Bangjun's family to eat. After the founding of New China, the local government learned of this matter, specially sent people to comfort Sun Bangjun's family, and also made an exception to give the Japanese wounded soldiers a hukou.

However, few people know that the admission of Japanese wounded soldiers has brought many difficulties to the Sun family - the reason why Japanese wounded soldiers will be left in China is because they suffer from hemiplegia, can not even take care of their basic lives, and are completely abandoned by the Japanese army. After being taken in by the Sun family, Sun Bangjun and his wife patiently took care of the wounded soldiers day and night, and eight months later, the wounded soldiers' hemiplegia was cured, but the Sun family owed a large amount of foreign debt. In the early 1960s, when a great famine broke out and many villagers in the village unfortunately starved to death, the wounded Soldiers of Japan survived by relying on the wild vegetables painstakingly dug up by the Sun family. Later, Sun Bangjun's son Sun Baojie was admitted to the county normal school, because there were Japanese living in the family, he was found to be "politically unreliable", and thus was disqualified, so Sun Baojie felt aggrieved and did not want to see the wounded soldiers.

In 1964, Sun Bangjun died, leaving a last word on his deathbed, hoping that his son would be kind to the "old uncle" at home, and if he could, help the wounded soldiers find their relatives. After Sun Baojie tearfully agreed, Sun Bangjun gasped. Because there are old wounded soldiers in the family who need to be cared for, many girls in the township are reluctant to marry into the Sun family, and Sun Baojie only married his daughter-in-law in his thirties. After the reform and opening up, Sun Baojie consulted with his wife and decided to make this matter public in order to obtain help from the world. In 1991, when the Japanese Bozhou Sino-Japanese Friendship Delegation visited Nanyang, Sun Baojie, under the leadership of the government and volunteers, went to visit with "old uncle" Komonoro, and met Omonoro's comrade-in-arms, Tsuda, who believed that the wounded soldier was Ishida Higashishiro, who had disappeared before. After DNA identification, the identity of Ishida Higashishiro was finally determined.

Ishida Higashishiro, a native of Masuda Town, Akita Prefecture, graduated from the Tokyo Agricultural College in 1937 and was forcibly recruited into the army to fight in China. After the story of the Sun family's two generations of caring for Japanese wounded soldiers was transmitted back to Japan, it caused a great shock to the Japanese people. When Ishida Toshishiro returned to his hometown to pay homage, the local villagers expressed their sincere gratitude to the Sun family on various occasions and called on the Japanese town of Masuda to conclude friendly relations with the town of Taishanmiao in Nanzhao County, Henan Province, China. Masuda-cho also donated 6 million yen to The local government of Nanyang, and raised funds in the name of the Ishida Higashishiro Rescue Association to establish a friendship botanical garden and a friendship school in China and Japan, and the Sino-Japanese Friendship School will set up a part of the full scholarship student quota every year to cultivate outstanding talents in Nanyang and promote friendly communication and exchanges between China and Japan. I have to say that there are good rewards for kindness, and this story is still lamentable to read to this day.
