Chinese peasants took in Japanese soldiers for 47 years, and their sons could not go to school, and before they died, they instructed their sons to find a home for him

In 1931, the brutal Japanese invaders carried out an unforgivable aggression against our country, burning and looting, and doing no evil. In this harsh environment, the military and people of our country rose up with one heart and one mind, rose up to resist, and under the wise leadership of our Party, they defeated the crazy aggressors and won the final victory. On August 15, 1945, the Japanese army surrendered unconditionally, and these cruel and murderous Japanese invaders were driven away by us, and the people could finally live in peace. Although 75 years have passed since that war, we will not forget the spirit of countless sons and daughters of China who rose up to resist and sacrifice their lives for righteousness, and we also remember the truth that if we are backward, we will be beaten. To this day, there are still many Chinese people who have great hatred and even prejudice toward Japan because of the atrocities committed by Japanese imperialism.

The great leader of our country once said that the common enemy of the Chinese people and Japan is Japanese imperialism. That is to say, not all Japanese people are sinful and deserve to die, a large part of them are also suffering from the war, and some Japanese people are also opposed to war and have given our country some help in the War of Resistance Against Japan, so we cannot beat them to death. We are firmly opposed to Japanese militarism and its die-hard loyalists, but we should not hate all Japanese because of the evil deeds of this part of the people. As early as the surrender of the Japanese army, the cunning Japanese government withdrew some die-hard imperialist elements from our country in advance, and the rest of the large troops withdrew in batches. Some of the remaining wounds and illnesses were not strong in combat effectiveness, and they were not enthusiastic about imperialism, and the Japanese soldiers who followed the tide were left behind at will, which showed that their hearts were fierce.

Among them was a Japanese soldier named Ishida Toshishiro, who was crippled and had no background, and was not keen on imperialist ideas, so he was left behind by the large troops of the evacuated Japanese army and left to fend for himself. For a whole year, Ishida Toshishiro had been living a begging life, dragging his injured body around, barely surviving on the scraps of food he had picked up. Finally, one day, Ishida Higashishiro met Sun Bangjun, an old farmer in Henan who set up a stall at the market, and was taken in by him. Ishida Higashishiro, who was already dying of starvation at the time, fainted in front of Sun Bangjun's stall, and all the vendors in the market knew that this little beggar was a ghost soldier before, so they left it to fend for themselves. However, the kind Sun Bangjun could not bear to lose a human life because of his indifference, so he distributed his dry food to Ishida Dongshiro despite dissuasion and saved his life.

After being rescued, Ishida Higashishiro recognized Sun Bangjun, the savior, and because he could not say Chinese, he knelt down in front of Sun Bangjun and begged him to take him in. The so-called saving people to the end, Sun Bangjun's heart was soft, so he took Ishida Dongshiro home, not only taking care of him to eat and drink, but also asking someone to treat him. Due to the general environment at that time, the people had a general resistance to the Japanese, not to mention a Japanese soldier, so not only Ishida Higashishiro was insulted, but even the kind Sun Bangjun was often ridiculed and thrown in the face. Fortunately, after Ishida's illness, he knew that his country had committed a terrible crime against China, and now he was saved by a Chinese, so he has been looking for ways to actively improve relations with his neighbors. Over time, people gradually accepted this enthusiastic, and there was no bad eye for the Japanese soldiers.

It was not until 1964 that Sun Bangjun died, and before his death, he instructed his son to help Ishida Higashishiro find his family. It should be known that because of Ishida Higashishiro's identity, his son Sun Baojie failed to successfully go to school and failed to receive higher education. But Sun Baojie still agreed to his father and tried his best to help Ishida Toshishiro find his family. In 1993, one of Ishida's former comrades-in-arms recognized him in a Japanese family-hunting newspaper and got in touch with Sun Baojie. In this way, Ishida Washida was able to return to Japan, where he had lived for 47 years. Countless people were touched by this incident, many Japanese media also reported on this matter, Ishida Toshishiro's family also collected 5 million yen to Sun Baojie, but Sun Baojie declined. So they built a botanical garden called Sino-Japanese Friendship to thank Chinese for saving his life.
