At the scene of the event, Li Jingze, vice chairman of the China Writers Association and director of the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, said: "The mainstreaming of online literature, in my understanding, refers to the mainstreaming of spirit and values, and it should be a powerful, very prominent and clear reflection of the fundamental values of our times and nation, reflecting our spirit. ”

As the first of a series of seminars on famous readers, Xu Zechen, a winning writer of the Mao Dun Literature Award, had a face-to-face exchange with the squid who loves diving by the platinum writers of reading literature.

In Xu Zechen's view, if you want to write about your current life and understand the current Chinese, "then I think a very important path may be to turn back." He believes that "this retro is not a simple retro, nor is it to make a rule, to get a chapter back, but we find something for us to deal with the current life from the traditional literary narrative resources, folk narrative resources, and cultural resources." ”

The squid who loves diving said in the sharing: "We Chinese like family warmth, family feelings, handle things in a softer way, and tend to be more introverted. Therefore, I hope to gently construct the image of the protagonist through Oriental philosophy by extracting the typical personality of the individual and the people around me, the typical way of doing things for people. ”

Cong Zhichen, associate professor at Peking University and visiting researcher at the Museum of Modern Chinese Literature, also commented on the squid's diverse creative style and the characteristics of his works, he believes that the creation of the squid is more in storytelling and structuring the world, and in the process of world architecture, it will unconsciously produce some refinement of reality. "Online literary writers are fully engaged in their current lives, paying attention to some kind of reflection."

From the perspective of Yang Chen, vice president and editor-in-chief of Reading Group, the creative process of squid is a continuous exploration of new themes in online literature, while also seeking inspiration in real life, which is very representative of the online literature writer group. "In fact, his creation is to reflect the changes of the times, the changes of society, when the society becomes better, the novel environment, the novel background will also become better, I think online literature is naturally the most suitable way to portray the era of writing."

Commenting on the creation path of squid, Wang Xiang, a researcher and critic at Lu Xun Literature Institute, said: "Chinese online novelists are recreating myths for human beings, of which the squid who loves diving is a typical representative. He gradually constructed his own myth on the basis of the world's mythological imagination resources, constructing the 'squid myth', and this 'squid myth' has many characteristics. ”

As the host of the seminar, Yang, a researcher at the Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, said in his summary: "Chinese writers are embarking on a relatively unique path of their own, and there is such an era and such an environment that allows us to express such emotions in different directions in a hundred flowers and express our own opinions. All literature comes, and together it will constitute the spiritual life of our time. ”

At the end of the seminar, Xu Zechen and Squid each shared their vision for the future of literature. In Xu Zechen's mind, "the literature of the future is to say 'this is us' as soon as we see it, to be able to see the past, to see the state of the present, and to some extent may also foresee some of the future we may have." Squid believes that "online literature is to become universal literature, inseparable from family, friendship, love, but also need to add some reflections on reality, home and country feelings, and the world in mind." ”

According to reports, the future seminar will also hold a number of seminars, planning to cover Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese University, Beijing Normal University, Fudan University, East China Normal University and other 20 first-class universities in China, inviting young students to think and discuss the topic of online literature and the development of the literary industry in the new era background with experts, scholars and online literature writers.
