At last year's Shanghai Auto Show, Chery's high-end brand Xingtu's new concept car Yaoguang was unveiled. The online car market has learned that the Yaoguang mass production version of the model (code name T22) will be put into operation at Chery's Qingdao plant in the future, and it is planned to roll off the production line at the end of this year. As the most high-end model of the T2X platform, Xingtu Yaoguang positions a compact coupe SUV with a larger vehicle size than the Group's Range Rover Evoque L. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T+8AT/9AT powertrain, and is available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions, which is the same as the power combination of Land Rover Range Rover Evoque L (2.0T+9AT).
The appearance refers to the previous concept car, and its vehicle shape is very different from other models of the brand, and the design is more fashionable and sporty. The front face is equipped with a through-type headlight group, and the grille adopts a dot matrix design, with C-shaped light groups on both sides, which is fully recognizable. The waistline of the car side is smooth, showing the visual sense of the coupe model. The new car is equipped with the popular through-type taillight set with the letter "EXEED" underneath, and it is expected that some of the design language will be retained after the new car is mass-produced.
Specifically, the length, width and height of the Xingtu Yaoguang mass production version are 4675×1920×1625mm, and the wheelbase is 2780mm, which is larger than the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque L. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with a 2.0T engine, the transmission system matches the 8-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission, and the two power combinations are available in two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive versions. It should be pointed out that at present, Xingtu's models are matched with CVT or 7DCT transmissions, and Yaoguang will be introduced to the market as the first AT model, at which time the competitiveness of its brand products will be further enhanced.
