During the "War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea" period, there was such a group of volunteers, a total of 125 of them, they did not fire a single shot, but in the end they became a great hero admired by everyone, and even the US military took off their hats to pay tribute to them.
They are called "ice sculpture companies". After World War II, the United States launched a war against Korea, when Korea was all hit along the Yalu River, and many of Korea's territory was occupied by the US military. At that time, our country was still in a special period, and its development was not yet stable, but even so, our country decided to send troops to support.
At that time, the weather in North Korea was very bad, the temperature was around minus 40 degrees, and our soldiers were still on the front line in such an environment. Under the circumstances at that time, in terms of military strength and force, neither China nor North Korea was the other side of the United States, and if we chose to confront each other head-on, it would be very difficult for our army to win, so we had to use surprise means. At that time, our army sent 125 volunteers to ambush the place where the US army had to pass. The 125 warriors lay on the ground in the cold and ambushed, and because the weather was too cold, they were directly frozen.
Even so, none of the 125 warriors thought of flinching until they all froze into "ice sculptures." When the U.S. army found them, it was very surprised why the volunteers in front of them did not fire a single shot, and when they approached, they all became "ice sculptures." While the U.S. military was surprised, it was also impressed by the spirit of the volunteer army, and all of them "took off their hats to salute."
