Audi's Sport Quattro S1 car broke the record for the Pike Peak Mountain Race in the United States, and it was this Audi quattro record that gave Ken Bullock the dream of becoming a rally driver.
Today, Ken Bullock's dream of a rally driver has long been realized, and another dream of his childhood has become a reality with the cooperation with Audi.
Through working with Audi, Ken Bullock had the opportunity to drive some of his favorite Audi and rally cars. These include the Audi quattro S1, the V8 quattro and the latest Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo electric car. The MGU installed in the energy converter can charge the high-voltage battery while the vehicle is driving. At the same time, energy recovery takes place during braking. The high-voltage battery weighs about 370 kg and has a capacity of about 52 kWh.
The Audi RS Q e-tron's electric drivetrain has a maximum system power of 500 kW and requires only one forward gear. Instead of mechanical connections, the front and rear axles are controlled by a software system developed by Audi to control the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles, creating a virtual central differential that can be freely configured, saving the weight and space required for the drive shaft and the mechanical differential, with obvious advantages. During the test, the vehicle reached a top speed of 180 km/h.
