It is generally believed that as long as the "great aunt" regularly "visits" every month, it means that the ovaries are ovulating normally, and fertility is certainly no problem.
However, some girls, although menstruation will come every month, are delayed in preparing for pregnancy and are not successful. It wasn't until I went to the hospital for a check-up that I found out: it turned out that I wasn't ovulating at all!

Most people probably equate "menstruation" with "ovulation" directly: as long as there is menstruation, there should be ovulation.
But the real situation is: under normal uterus conditions, there will be menstruation when there is ovulation, but having "menstruation" does not mean ovulation!
The normal menstrual process goes like this:
As the follicle grows, develops, and matures, the level of secreted estrogen gradually increases, and the elevated hormone is fed back to the brain, prompting the brain to secrete hormones that promote ovulation, so that the mature follicle is discharged.
Subsequently, the corpus luteum forms and secretes estrogen and progesterone.
Under the action of estrogen and progesterone, the endometrium grows and thickens periodically.
On the 14th day after ovulation, as the corpus luteum atrophises, estrogen and progesterone levels drop, and the endometrial lining is peeled off and bleeding – menstruation begins.
However, if the ovaries only secrete estrogen, no ovulation occurs, and there is basically no progesterone synthesis.
The endometrium thickens under constant stimulation of estrogen, and then decortical bleeding occurs, which manifests itself as bleeding phenomenon as menstruation.
This abnormal process of uterine bleeding, in which no egg is excreted at all, is actually a kind of "false menstruation" [1].
It is the main cause of the vast majority of patients with menstruation but no ovulation, accounting for about 70% to 80% of dysfunctional uterine bleeding [2].
If "anovulatory menstruation" persists, it may affect fertility in the first place, and the problem of "abnormal bleeding of the uterus" is more likely to increase the incidence of endometrial cancer.
So even if there are no pregnancy plans at the moment, be vigilant!

Irregular coming: The visit time of the great aunt is not regular, sometimes there is no visit from the great aunt for two or three months, and sometimes the great aunt comes twice in a month.
