Since the death of Engong Yanwu, Du Fu was so grief-stricken that he had no financial support, and the poet had to leave Ducaotang and wander around again in order to make a living. He traveled along the Min River into the Yangtze River, down the river to Yuzhou, Chungju and Yun'an, and arrived in Fuzhou after several months of illness in Yun'an. Although Du Fu lived in Kuizhou for less than two years, he repeatedly migrated, and then ended his wandering life in a boat.
The poet's years in Yuzhou can be described as the autumn of his life, but it was also a period of extremely vigorous life for Du Fu's creation. There are about 430 poems written by Du Fu in Kuizhou, and most of these poems are lyrical, reminiscent, nostalgic and rejuvenating works, but the unique mountains and rivers of Kuizhou constitute his majestic background. In the southwest, the enemy opened two cliffs.
The earth is split with the roots of the mountain, and the river comes from the moon cave.
Cut into the white emperor, empty curved hidden balcony.
Although the chiseling technique is beautiful, Tao Jun's power is great.
Seven hundred miles of three gorges, once sandwiched between the river and a thousand peaks and a hundred peaks, a high cliff in the gate, witnessed a period of natural history that began 70 million years ago. For the Chinese nation, it is not only the trace of Dayu's dredging, but also the throat of the eastern Lock Jingchu and the western control of Bashu in the past. Connected to the White Emperor City, located near the mouth of the Qutang Gorge, the poet came here to see the ancient times and improvised the Five Laws.
The first two sentences introduce the geographical location and dangerous terrain of Qutang Gorge, and many tributaries gathered from the southwest direction together inject into Qutang Gorge. On both sides of the riverbank, the cliffs face each other, as if the two armies are opposed. A "qíng" character, powerful to the effect, using an anthropomorphic technique, showing a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
The third and fourth sentences are the pair of flowing waters, because of the cracks in the mountain roots, the river water seems to come from the moon cave, although there is a Great Yu Divine Skill, it is even more dependent on the power of creation. The poet "Huaigu" wrote about the natural history of the dredging of the great river, but it became a vicissitudes of history not only because of the legend of YuJi, but also because it fed Chinese culture.
"Mountain root crack", showing the effect of the earth crack, thus forming a surprising magical terrain; "Moon Cave" is very graphic, the author imagines the monstrous waves pouring into the dark canyon, suddenly flashing a silver light, which seems to come from the Moon Palace. It can be seen that Shisheng is very good at constructing poetic moods, which is really admirable.
In fact, the person Du Fu cherished was no longer a hero of the past. Qutang Gorge is related to the origin of Chinese civilization, and the double cliffs are engraved with the imprint of the beginning of the cultural traffic between the East and the West, as well as the border fortresses related to the coverage of this civilization and the survival of the nation, as well as the land of the rebellion of the tyrants and the chaos of the emperors in history.
The neck joint is more dreamy, "cut into the white emperor, empty curved hidden balcony." The towering cliffs, facing the White Emperor City, seemed to be slashed with a knife and an axe; the deep peaks, meandering and twisting, seemed to hide the balcony where the goddess lived. The balcony is the place where the goddess of Wushan and the king of Chu meet, and the author reminisces about the past and also expresses his praise for nature.
At the end of the question, the writer's feelings are expressed, and the meaning of nostalgia is expressed. The poet believes that Dayu chiseled rivers and dredged floods, although worthy of admiration by future generations, the power of nature is even more powerful. "Tao Jun" refers to the creation of heaven and earth.
The poet felt that dayu's merits should certainly be affirmed and remembered, but the power of the Creator should not be underestimated. The poem is expressed in a non-first-person, objective tone that transcends self-emotion, reinforcing an epic meaning. This mountain and water are steep and majestic, and it is awe-inspiring.
Looking at Du Fu's Five Laws, the idea is far-reaching, full of romantic feelings, and also shows the superb literary attainments of the poet. At that time, the author's life was in his twilight years, not only wandering, but also poor. However, his works did not exude any sentiment of sorrow, but showed a broad embrace.
Because only with a broad mind can we forget the ego; only by standing tall can we depict magnificent rivers and mountains. Reading the whole poem, the reader can not only feel the long history of Chinese civilization, but also experience the idyllic state of mind of the poet Shengsheng, who seems to have long forgotten the pain and poverty, but immersed in nostalgia!
