Yuan Juping, secretary of the Gongyi Municipal Party Committee, attended the opening ceremony and announced the opening of the 8th Du Fu International Poetry Week, and Zhang Donghui, deputy secretary of the municipal party committee and mayor, delivered a speech. Municipal leaders Feng Xianfeng, Li Zhanlong, Zhao Kai, Jing Xiuxiang, Wang Yueju, Zhai Qi, Hu Xiaolin, Liang Jiangtao and others attended the opening ceremony.

The ceremony of the worship of poetry is carried out in accordance with the eight rituals of opening the door to the holy, poetic symphony, offering flower baskets, purifying the hands of incense, worshiping the poetry saints, reading the sacred texts of the poems, dancing and worshiping, and the thousand-mile poem scrolls.
At 10:50 a.m., the ceremony of the holy ceremony of prayer and poetry in Du Fu's hometown in the year of Nongyin was completed. The live drums sounded in unison, carols flew, flowers bloomed, and salutes sounded in unison.

After the opening ceremony, some guests and leaders walked into the Poetry Sanctuary to pay respects to commemorate the memorial, and visited the "Gong Yimei" photography contest exhibition in turn.
