On the morning of January 6, the "member channel" of the first meeting of the 13th CPPCC Foshan Municipal Committee was officially opened. Tang Dongtao, member of the Foshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Foshan Photographers Association, and Li Fengyi, member of the Foshan Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of Foshan Zhaoyang Real Estate Investment Co., Ltd., shared and made suggestions on "reshaping the urban form of Foshan".

Tang Dongtao comes from the literary and art circles and has been documenting the development of Foshan through the creation of photography art. Foshan proposes to build an axis of Lingnan cultural context, with the cultural and plastic city, and integrate Lingnan Cantonese culture into public building construction, urban spatial layout and tourism planning and design. In this regard, Tang Dongtao suggested, "Can Foshan's Liansheng area and Nanfeng ancient stove be strung together into a chain of beads to build a Lingnan cultural axis with great urban characteristics?" "Tang Dongtao found the homogenization problem between cities when collecting styles and creating styles in different cities, and government departments around the city have invested a lot in urban ecology and landscape, and strive to give citizens a comfortable living space, but in the process of improvement, they must combine the personality of the city to make characteristics." He believes that Guangfu culture is a good starting point and entry point for Foshan to reshape Foshan's urban form. "For example, pottery, which fully reflects the lingnan cultural elements of Foshan's profound historical heritage, can be transformed and built through key areas, thus forming a more coherent spatial pattern and visual effect." Tang Dongtao said.

Deeply rooted in the construction of Foshan city for more than 20 years, Li Fengyi has been exploring and thinking about how to integrate local traditional culture into modern urban space, and tell the story of Foshan's urban image with sound and color. "Many people know Foshan, starting with ceramics. Environmental pottery designed and produced in Foshan is currently widely used in the city's public spaces. Many projects with local characteristics in Foshan, such as Lingnan Tiandi and rural revitalization projects, use it for landscape improvement. She believes that this kind of environmental art with the theme of "Foshan pottery" is a good example of carrying Foshan's traditional culture and avoiding the image of a city with "a thousand cities and one side". Li Fengyi suggested that Foshan's new urban architecture should respond more to Lingnan culture in terms of space design, styling, and the use of materials. In the urban renewal of Foshan, more consideration should be given to the preservation and expression of Lingnan cultural elements. If Foshan's urban facilities can be carefully created, they can also reflect the temperament and taste of a city.
