According to foreign media GamesIndustry, data from Famitong shows that switch sales in Japan exceeded 5.3 million units in 2021, close to 5 times the combined sales of PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and 3DS.
According to statistics, between December 28, 2020 and December 19, 2021, the standard version of the Switch, Switch Lite and Switch OLED sold more than 5.3 million units in Japan, which is comparable to the 5.1 million units sold between December 30, 2019 and December 6, 2020.
The PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, and 3DS models sold a total of 1.1 million units, of which the PS5 ranked first with 942,798 units, about 10 times the sales of the Xbox Series X|S; the latter sold a total of 95,598 units, even lower than the 100,000 3786 units of the PS4.
