According to NPD statistics, 1.13 million Switch series consoles(including Lite and OLED models) sold in the United States in November 2021. During Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping week, the Switch sold 550,000 units.
Judging from the results, the Switch is still the hottest game console in the United States that month. By incorporating November's data, switch has been the best-selling console for 35 of the past 36 months.
Data analyst Daniel Ahmad points out that the supply chain problems of today's hosts are still serious. He enumerates the following points:
Switch sales in November were lower than in the same period last year;
Cumulative sales of PS5 and Xbox Series are barely equal to the total sales of the Switch; (Ahmad does not specify the statistical range for this conclusion)
In November 2021, cumulative sales of the PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch were less than the cumulative sales of PS4, Xbox One, and WiiU in November 2014.
