Nearly 200 athletes from 16 clubs in Ningxia will compete in the men's individual and women's events of alpine skiing and snowboarding over a two-day period. The event strictly implements the "Alpine SkiIng Competition Rules" and "Snowboard Competition Rules" jointly formulated by the Winter Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport and the China Ski Association, and is carried out under the condition of ensuring that the normalization of epidemic prevention and control measures and event safety and security measures are in place.
The launching ceremony kicked off with the pop-up "My Motherland and Me" song with the participation of all the staff. Subsequently, Ningxia ice and snow sports online + offline series of activities in the whole region in an all-round way, with the theme of "Dream of the Winter Olympics and Share the Future" as the theme of the series of activities held from December 2021 to February 2022, Ningxia Sports Industry Center and the city and county (district) sports departments and jurisdictional ice and snow sports stadium cooperation, take the form of online + offline combination, to provide the masses of the whole region with competitive ice and snow sports events, mass ice and snow sports activities, youth ice and snow sports winter camps, Nearly 20 colorful ice and snow activities, such as ice and snow sports knowledge training and quiz, have attracted more people's attention to participate in ice and snow sports.
On the same day, the "I walk with the Winter Olympics" Ningxia Ice and Snow Sports Talent Show was also launched synchronously, and from January 5 to February 6, 2022, ice and snow lovers will participate in the photos and videos of their participation in ice and snow sports in various ice and snow sports venues in Ningxia, as well as messages to the Beijing Winter Olympics, personal ice and snow sports dreams and post them to WeChat, Weibo and other platforms to forward the collection of praise, and the organizers of the event will evaluate the number of likes of the participants and give rewards.
In recent years, the Ningxia Sports Bureau has actively responded to the call to "bring 300 million people to participate in ice and snow sports", taking the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics as an opportunity to coordinate efforts from the construction of ice and snow venues, the cultivation of ice and snow talents, the formation of winter project training teams, the organization of ice and snow events, the introduction of high-level ice and snow sports events, and the promotion of high-quality development of ice and snow sports and ice and snow industries.
