Is the Old Man really perfect?

Emperor Gaozong of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong, was the longest-lived emperor in China's history and the longest emperor in history when he actually reigned. On the basis of inheriting the martial arts of the Kangxi Emperor and the Yongzheng Emperor, he continued to devote himself to the great unification of the country and the consolidation and development of the multi-ethnic state. The famous "Kangqian prosperous era" in history reached its peak under his rule. The Qianlong Emperor spent his life touring the south and hunting in the north, composing poems and lyrics, and writing and ink all over the country; he was not skilled in martial arts, was good at using soldiers, boasted of "ten perfect martial arts", and called himself "ten perfect old men". However, this feudal emperor who had unlimited scenery before his death made people talk about it because of his life problems. Where was he born? Who is the birth mother? These things, which are clear to ordinary people, are so bizarre that they are difficult to distinguish between true and false here in the Qianlong Emperor, which cannot but be said to be the most embarrassing and helpless thing for this "ancient rare heavenly son" and "ten perfect old man".

On the question of the qianlong emperor's lineage, there is also a shocking legend that he was the son of The Elder Chen Ge of Haining.

Haining, Zhejiang, belonged to Hangzhou Province during the Qing Dynasty, and was a small county bordering the sea. Haining is small, but it is famous for its majestic sea tides. According to legend, during the Kangxi Dynasty, the fourth son of the Emperor, Yin Chan, had a good relationship with Chen Daqi, a minister from Haining, also known as Chen Gelao, and the two families had close contacts. That year, Prince Yong's princess Niu Hulu and Chen Gelao's wife gave birth to a child, and it was on the same day of the same month of the same year. However, Lady Chen wished to give birth to a white and fat boy, but the princess gave birth to a daughter. One day, Prince Yong asked the Chen family to carry the child into the palace to have a look. However, when the child was sent out, the white fat boy of the Chen family turned into a little girl, and the Chen family was stunned. Elder Chen Ge knew that the bag had been dropped, but Su Zhiyong's means, knowing that this matter was at stake, did not dare to go to the theory, and persuaded the whole family to swallow their anger.

The reason why Prince Yong changed the children of the Chen family was because he was on an equal footing with his brothers in the struggle for the throne, but at that time he only had one son, and he was cowardly and useless, and he was not loved by the emperor' father. Therefore, he felt that he was inferior at this point, and it was necessary to make up for this deficiency, which was the act of changing sons.

And the fat boy who was dropped by Prince Yong was said to be the Qianlong Emperor. It is not known when this statement originated, but it is quite widely circulated in folklore, and the more the story is told, the more true it is. It is also said that after the Yongzheng Emperor ascended the throne, he specially promoted several members of the Chen clan and received deep courtesy, which is related to this. After the Qianlong Emperor became emperor, he went to Jiangnan six times, and on four occasions he stopped and stayed in Chen Gelao's private residence, with the purpose of visiting his biological parents in Haining.

Haining folk is even more popular, the Chen family has two plaques inscribed by the Qianlong Emperor himself, one is "Love Day Hall" and the other is "Chunhui Hall". Whether it is "Love Day" or "Chunhui", they use the sentence "Whoever says anything and has a heart of grass will repay the three Chunhui" in the poem "Wandering Zi Yin" of mengjiao in the Tang Dynasty. If the Qianlong Emperor was not the son of the Chen family, would he have to report the deep gratitude of his parents like Chunhui?
