The hero's name was Xiao Wanshi and he was born in January 1905 in Xingtai, Hebei Province. In 1937, the Japanese army entered the village of Xiyu to sweep and implement the Three Lights Policy, and Xiao Wanshi's sister and parents were slaughtered by the Japanese army.
After experiencing this incident, Xiao Wanshi decided to avenge his family and his father and elders, and joined the Eighth Route Army in July 1937 and became a soldier of the Eighth Route Army. Xiao Wanshi's personality can be said to be informal, personally very thoughtful, a little "love to break into trouble". In a war, Xiao Wanshi took a squad of fighters to sneak up on the Japanese airfield, and blew up seven or eight Japanese planes at once, knowing that there would be a large number of Japanese guards in the Japanese airfield, and Xiao Wanshi had to go deep into the enemy's interior and destroy the enemy's military equipment despite the danger, which was quite remarkable.
Another time, the situation was also quite urgent, Xiao Wanshi sneaked into the Japanese artillery tower with a soldier, which was easy to find, but at that time, Xiao Wanshi was actually able to kill 19 Japanese troops, which showed that his courage was indeed very large, and he also saw that he had courage and strategy. After the victory of the War of Resistance, Xiao Wanshi finally became a grain station chief, because he was too capable of "breaking into trouble", and during the war, his rank changed from regiment to platoon, which was not good enough.
When he was the director of the grain station, Xiao Wanshi met a worker, because he was really hungry, so he ran to the warehouse to steal grain, Xiao Wanshi was very kind, and really couldn't bear to lock him up, so in the end he could only accept the punishment. His son only knew that his father had indeed made meritorious deeds, but he did not expect to make 10 first-class merits at once. Xiao Wanshi has a legendary life, died in 2009, lived to the age of 104, and may the hero go all the way.
