Dai Dabin is a well-known figure in Xinghua Dadi, he has been intelligent since he was a child, good at combining poetry and doing the right thing, he was talented at the age of twelve, he was a man at the age of thirteen, and he was a scholar at the age of twenty. He was a young talent who was comparable to the young statesman Ganluo at the end of the Warring States period and Cao Zhi Cao Zijian of the Three Kingdoms Cao Wei, and was called the "Three Prodigies" of ancient times by posterity. In Putian folklore, there is such a sentence: Dai Dabin is not right for a while, Cao Zijian is seven steps into a chapter; Ganluo Twenty-six is the Prime Minister, and Dabin twenty is in the middle of the flowers. Many of his poems are witty and humorous, close to life, catchy to read, and have become unique sentences throughout the ages, which have been passed down to this day and are still loved by people.
Dai Dabin (1489-1509), also spelled Yinzhong, was a native of Tusaka, Weixinli, Putian County, Xinghua Province, Ming Dynasty (present-day Tangdong Village, Xindu Town, Licheng District, Putian City). Brilliant and sensitive from childhood, three-year-old learning language, childhood orchid and beautiful, export with words, especially good poetry to do right. No matter where he goes, people always like to come up with a "pair" to make him oppose, known as a "prodigy". Dai Dabin studied at the age of eight, was proficient in the Four Books and the Five Classics, and at the age of thirteen he was ranked third in the world, known as the Heavenly Qilin and was no less than a phoenix on earth. In the third year (1508) of Emperor Zhengde of MingWuzong, Dai Dabin was twenty years old and ranked third in the first rank of the jinshi of the Lü Feng list, and when the temple examination was tested, he was awarded the Hanlin editing, he was proud of his bones, did not attach power to the eunuch Liu Jin, jinshi and the first queen died of illness on the way home to mourn. The world is called "the year of the dragon on the tiger list, the country is unparalleled; the countermeasures are spread in the sea, and the name is heavy and the secretary of state".
Legendary reincarnation
According to folklore, Dai Dabin was reincarnated by wang Dabin, an old school master from his erudite hometown. Wang Dabin is a native of sanshe in the neighboring village of Xinxi Village, and is good friends with Dai Dabin's grandfather. He was rich in knowledge, but his fate was not good, and he failed to pass the exam for many years, so he had to make a living by teaching in his hometown. Because he was never married, he was old, and he had a cat as a companion. One day, the cat who was a companion every day died, and Wang Dabin fell ill due to hard thinking. Dai Dabin's grandfather went to visit him after hearing the news, and cooked a bowl of rice noodles to feed him, and before he could swallow it, Wang Dabin cried out for his life. When Dai Dabin's grandfather had just stepped into the house after he had finished his work, his daughter-in-law happened to give birth to a baby boy. The strange thing is that this baby boy cried as soon as he came out, and he still had a mouthful of rice noodles in his mouth. Dai Dabin's grandfather then said to the baby boy, "Grandson, if you are the reincarnation of Wang Dabin, don't cry, I will only change your surname, just call dai Dabin." As soon as the words stopped, the baby boy's crying stopped. According to legend, Dai Dabin was the reincarnation of Wang Dabin, and the rice noodles in his mouth showed that he did not eat the "water of forgetting love" and was born, so the knowledge he learned in his previous life was not forgotten, and he could be good to his son at the age of three.
When Dai Dabin was eight years old, he had already read through the Four Books and the Five Classics. One day, the master of the school intended to test his talents, and used the seat in the hall as the title: "Tiger skin mattress cover bachelor chair." Dai Dabin replied without hesitation: "Rabbit Pen Writing Yuanfang." The master sighed as a wizard. Dai Dabin confronted Master Shu: "The Jade Emperor orders soldiers, thunder drums, electric flags, wind knives, and rain arrows." The master couldn't answer. Dai Zi replied, "The Dragon King's night feast, the moon candle, the star lantern, the mountain dish, and the sea wine are the basins." "Although the content is nonsense, the arrogance is already extraordinary.
Play on the sister-in-law
Once, when Dai Dabin followed his uncle into the city and passed by the bridgehead of the village, several villagers caught catfish in the river and made a bet with Dai Dabin. The man used the earth catfish as the theme of the play: "Clay plate soil catfish clay whiskers." "We must wear Dabin to respond with local place names and specialties." Dai Dabin saw the villagers standing in waist-deep water fishing, and replied correctly, "Shuinan Buffalo flooded belly." When the crowd saw that they were on the right side, they had to give away a basket of earth catfish.
Dai Dabin carried the catfish home, there was no sauce to cook at home, and his mother told him to go to his sister-in-law to get some sauce. The clever sister-in-law took advantage of the excitement and deliberately said to the guest: "I have a sentence for you to be right, to give sauce to the top, okay?" The eldest guest saw that his sister-in-law was also interested in talking about the right thing, and he promised it with a full mouth. So the sister-in-law immediately came out of the scene: "Da Bin beg, Da Bin food, Da Bin Dang begging food (food and cai, Xinghua dialect pronunciation is the same)". In just a dozen or so words, not only did he call his name directly, but he was also named "beggar", and Dai Dabin, who had always been arrogant and arrogant, thought that his personality had been insulted, and under his anger, he could not take into account the etiquette of Gang Chang, and immediately counterattacked: "Sister-in-law is good, Sister-in-law (dialect is the same as beauty), sister-in-law is good (good dialect pronunciation is prostitute). ”
When the sister-in-law heard the praise for her in the first two sentences, her heart was sweet, but after hearing the meaning of the whole sentence, she immediately became angry and grabbed a broom from the wall. Dai Dabin saw that his sister-in-law was really angry, and quickly picked up the sauce and slipped away, and in a panic, he was tripped by the threshold, and the dish fell out of a long distance and broke. This is the origin of the later legend of "beggar sauce broken cup" (cup dialect pronunciation is dish).

When Dai Dabin was twelve, he went to Putian City to participate in the boy exam. When the candidates saw that they were young, the group joked, and one of the candidates laughed and asked, "What official do you want?" Dabin replied, "Elder Juguange." The crowd joked, "Old Si Ge." Dabin replied, "No talent to do talent." "The crowd was blushing with shame. After Dai Dabin entered the examination room, he waved it away, and seeing that there was still plenty of time, he drew a poem on the examination paper: "The boy has not yet become a talent, and his parents forced me to come." There is less text in the abdomen, and the branches and plums are drawn on the rolls. After handing in the exam papers, he went outside the examination room and hugged the colonnade rings to play. The examiner saw him scribbling arbitrarily and wanted to impose a heavy penalty, but after reading the test paper, he was amazed and could not bear to punish him, so he approved whether to pass the test in the form of pairs. The examiner groaned, "The child's milk is not dry, and his hands are holding the red pillar and circling around." Dai Dabin casually said, "The Grand Master Guan Xing has moved, stepping on the green clouds and stepping forward." The joint sentence is neat and tidy, and there is no lack of praise, and the examiner is smiling. The examiner not only exempted him from punishment, but also selected him as a talent. The elegant name of "Plum Blossom Talent" has gone away and is well-known. Since then, it has spread throughout the land of Bamin.

Dai Dabin's kindness made many people want to try it in person. One day, Dai Dabin went to the store to buy "flicking hands". When the shop owner saw Dai Dabin visiting the store, he rushed forward and smiled and said: "Dabin, I am right, you are right, I will send you a hand, if it is not right, I will not sell it to you." Whisk your hands and don't whisk your hands. He replied correctly, "Hoe the ground without hoeing," and took the "flick of the hand" and flew away.
When Dai Dabin went to His uncle's house as a guest on the way to the Kuokou Bridge, a scholar pointed at the wide mouth and said the Shanglian: "Why does the place name Wide Mouth have no tongue?" Dai Dabin looked up at Hugong Mountain in the distance, and Mao Sai suddenly opened it and replied, "Does the mountain number Hugong have a beard?" ”
There was a high-ranking official and nobleman in the township who did not believe that Dai Dabin had such a genius, and specially went to The Dai family to find out what was going on. As soon as I walked in the door, I said, "Full moon." Dai Dabin immediately responded, "The wind is flat." The dignitaries reproached, "How can the wind be flat?" Dai Dabin said: "The wind drills when it sees the crack, if it is not flat, how can it be blown into the house through the crack of the door?" The dignitary said, "Feng Ming." Dai Dabin replied, "Cow dance." The nobleman asked incomprehensibly, "How can a cow dance?" Dai Dabin sneered, "When the hundred beasts dance in unison, aren't the cows among them?" It turned out that the nobles belonged to cattle.
According to legend, the famous couplet inscribed on the Mazu Temple in Meizhou was written by Dai Dabin: Qi Qi Qi Qi Qi Qi The upper link "Qi", the ancient tong "Zhai" character; the lower link "Chao" character, the ancient Tong "Chao" character. With punctuation, there are two ways to read, one of which is: Qi Zhai, Qi Zhai, Qi Qi Zhai, Qi Qi Zhai; Chao Chao, Chao Chao, Chao Chao, Chao Chao. The second is: Qi Qi Zhai, Qi Qi Zhai, Qi Zhai, Qi Zhai; Chao Chao, Chao Chao, Chao Chao, Chao Chao.

There was an old school master in the provincial city who chewed on words all day long because of his dull mind, and the number of students who studied with him was getting fewer and fewer. A student was distracted when holding a pen in class, and inadvertently the end of the pen was stained on the lips, so the master took this as the topic and came up with a sentence for the students to say: "The mouth contains the ink on the lips of the pen tail." "There was a naughty student who asked the teacher to be right, but the old school teacher was confused and couldn't match himself, and after the news came out, some parents thought that the school teacher was shallow and prepared to choose another mr.
That night, the old master lived in the same inn as Dai Dabin, and at three o'clock, he was still intermittently moaning in his mouth, but there was no answer. Dai Dabin knew that the person next door was embarrassed by the dialogue, but he couldn't help it for a while. At that time, he was picking up the lamp to read at night, a gust of wind swept by, the lamp center fell (the old lamp was filled with peanut oil, put on the lamp core to light the lamp), he had to pick the lamp, the scene touched the clever, can't help but blurt out: "Hand stroke wick finger dipped in oil." When the old master heard this, he fell from heaven and quickly ran over to thank him.
In this township test, Dai Dabin was the first, and he really won the third place in the middle. It can really be described as a unicorn in the sky, which is nothing less than a phoenix on earth, and it has been spread as a good story in the land of Eight Fujian for a while.
Mistakenly defeated the talented woman
Legend has it that there was a talented woman of similar age in the village of Kuokou near Dai Dabin's house, who was as beautiful as a flower, full of literary talent, and vowed not to marry untalented. Seeing that the day of autumn next year is getting closer and closer, the talented girl who likes Dai Dabin is afraid that he will not be able to withstand the temptation of the outside world after he obtains the meritorious name, and his hard heart will be wasted. One day, she asked the maid to write "eight knives and decimeter powder" on a wooden board, hanging it in a conspicuous place next to the road where Dai Dabin must pass, claiming that the unmarried boy could speak to her within three days and was willing to accompany her for life.
This is a set of consecutive pairs of words, eight knives stacked into the word "points"; decimeters to form the word "powder". The short five characters vividly reflect the hardships of handmade Xinghua rice noodles. To round this pair, but also to fold the words twice, but also closely related to life. Dai Dabin had never encountered such a combination of words, and he could not match it. He went away in shame. When approaching the city, a crisp bell sounded from the side of Meifeng Temple, which touched Dai Dabin's ingenuity: "A thousand miles of heavy golden bells (Chung). "Thousands of miles are stacked as "heavy", and gold and heavy are merged into Chung.
Dai Dabin immediately rushed to respond to the right. Unfortunately, this famous bridesmaid was a martyr woman, her temperament was too impatient, and when she saw that Dai Dabin, whom she admired, could not answer correctly, she cried bitterly and said: "The prodigy is still unable to match my pair, who else in the world can be right?" Thinking that it was difficult for someone to have an interest in this life, he jumped off the wide-mouth bridge.
Ask Bu Nine Carp Lake
The ancients said: "For the officials must be the first to compete." "In one fell swoop, he debuted on the Dragon and Tiger List, and went to the Phoenix Pool in ten years." Dai Dabin, who was eighteen years old at the time, went to Jiu Li Lake with his friends one day in the late autumn of that year to ask about his future.
Dai Dabin first admired the scenery of the Nine Carp Lake and composed a poem called "Wing Nine Carp": "The clouds and the xia are reckless, and the water and sky are the same color." Where are the yao flowers? The lake is white in autumn and moon. "Praise the beautiful scenery of the Nine Carp Lake and the beautiful scenery of the mountains. After that, I went to the Nine Immortals Ancestral Hall and saw a picture of the scenery of the Nine Carp Lake hanging on the wall. He carefully admired the painting frame, poetry Xing Zhengnong, and also wrote "Nine Carp Lake Illustration", describing the beauty of the famous mountains and rivers of Nine Carp Lake and the legend of the ascension of Nine Carp to heaven.
That night, Dai Dabin stayed at the Nine Immortals Shrine, and after burning incense and worshipping in front of the Statue of the Nine Immortals, he instantly entered the dream, as if he saw an old man walking in front of him: "Raise your son to dream of climbing the Nine Carps, the wisdom and cleverness of the world are rare, and pengchen is on the list of dragons and tigers, and the ephemeral flowers disappear in a flash." After waking up, he did not know much about dream poetry, and he thought that the name of this subject was promising, and continued to carefully study the Four Books and Five Classics after returning home.

In the third year of emperor Mingwuzong Zhengde (1508), Dai Dabin was twenty years old and ranked third in the first rank of the first rank of the lü fengbang jinshi, and during the temple examination, he was awarded the title of Hanlin editor. According to the "Putian County Chronicle", after Dai Dabin was awarded the Hanlin Editing, the eunuch Liu Jin wanted to give his adopted daughter Xu to Dai Dabin, who was the daughter of his brother and had outstanding talent. He built a mansion for Dai Dabin and gave him carriages, horses, and servants. However, Dai Dabin was worried about defacing his own reputation, and in order to refuse marriage, he drank and drunk every day, and under the pretext of alcohol, he insulted Liu Jin: "I am the son of the imperial court, how can I be the son-in-law of a traitorous courtier?" He also flogged the servants sent by Liu Jin to serve him every day, but the servants really couldn't stand it, so they complained to Liu Jin, saying that Dai Dabin was a frivolous and fanatic, and he would certainly not be able to become a great instrument in the future. Gradually, Liu Jin dispelled the idea of recruiting, but also held a grudge. In the fourth year of Zhengde (1509), Dai Dabin learned that his mother had died of illness and was in pain, and the family had betrothed to him. So he returned home from leave and died of illness on the way, at the age of 21.
On the way home, Dai Dabin wrote a final letter to his family: "Before his death, his surname was Kui Jinbang, and after his death, the article was hung in the Yulou." I wanted to serve my great-grandfather and great-mother, who knows that Zi Lu cried back? The flowing water and flowers go with me, and the sunset herbs are sad for people. The poor parents have no one to rely on, and the hundred-year-old marriage is not the beginning. The medicine does not work and the disease is healed, and the two words of merit and name are resentful. Both parents are old and their wives are young, and once impermanent everything rests. He was only 21 years old at the time of his death, which just fulfilled the metaphor of the Nine Carp Lake Immortals that year, "Peng Chen was on the list of dragons and tigers, and the ephemeral flowers disappeared in a flash". Let future generations sigh and pity.
Although Dai Dabin died young, his talent was on a par with Cao Zhi of the Three Kingdoms. In Putian folklore, there is such a sentence: "Dai Dabin is not right for a while, Cao Zijian is seven steps into a chapter; Ganluo Twenty-six is the Prime Minister, and Dabin twenty is in the middle of the flowers." ”
