Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) Jan. 5 News: Apple today updated its investor relations page to announce earnings for fiscal first quarter 2022 , i.e. Q4 2021 — to be announced on Thursday, January 27.
The first-quarter earnings call will provide insight into sales on iPhone 13 models, AirPods 3, new MacBooks, and other devices during the holiday quarter that ended in December. Apple CEO Tim Cook said last quarter that the supply shortage caused by the chip shortage cost Apple $6 billion, and chip shortages and supply problems could also affect Apple's first-quarter earnings report.
In the same period last year, the first quarter of 2021, Apple reported a record $111.4 billion in revenue and a quarterly net profit of $28.8 billion. Apple again declined to provide guidance for the fiscal first quarter of 2022.
The quarterly earnings statement will be released on January 27 at 1:30 p.m. Pacific Time/ 4:30 p.m. EST, with a conference call at 2:00 p.m. Pacific Time/5:00 p.m. EST to discuss the report.
