The Intel Core i7-12700H beat the R7-5800H in leaked tests

Webmaster's House (ChinaZ.com) January 26 News: A chart of the test results of the Intel 12th generation processor Core i7-12700H has appeared on Weibo. The results showed that the Core i7-12700H was nearly 25% faster in single-threaded and nearly 35% faster in multi-threaded Cinebench R20, R23, and CPU-Z tests compared to the Ryzen 7 5800H.

This figure depicts the performance of the Intel Core i7-12700H in Cinebench R20, R23, and CPU-Z tests relative to the AMD Ryzen 7 5800H, Core i5-12500H, and 11th Generation Core i9-11980HK.

For reference, the Core i7-12700H is a 14-core, 20-thread Alder Lake-H processor with a base frequency of 3.5 GHz and an overclocking rate of 4.7 GHz. The processor contains six P-cores, eight E-cores, and a basic TDP of 45W.

According to the results posted on Weibo, the Core i7-12700H has an average single-core performance of 24.78% higher than the Ryzen 7 5800H and an average of 34.62% higher multi-core performance. Interestingly, based on the numbers described, even the Core i5-12500H beats the Ryzen 7 5800H.

In terms of performance, compared with Intel's flagship Tiger Lake chip Core i9-11980HK, the mid-range Core i7-12700H single-core is 11.1% ahead of the multi-core Cinebench R20 and R23 27.59%.
